mafiageek1980: To me, both holidays are like Valentines day to me:Why in the HELL do we need special holidays to show love and appreciation to those that are special in our lives?I have no issue with the holidays and as far as I'm concerned the school is in the right here, but still...why designate specific days for something we should be doing EVERY day.fark the greeting card industry for pushing this shiat!
mafiageek1980: Callous: bobrktb: What if the parent is Tri Transgender, Bi Lesbian, Biracial, Neosexual Transplant. They should all be replaced with Spieces Day!![southparkstudios.mtvnimages.com image 400x300]Jerk. People like you are what's wrong with this country./Transgender
Peit: I know a little girl whose parents died suddenly last month. She's now being raised by grandparents. I think Family Day is a fine idea and kids can say thanks to whatever family they happen to have. It would suck to have a class activity where other kids notice you don't have a mom or a dad, but if it's for any family, no kids will be left out.
AverageAmericanGuy: Some kids don't have mothers. Some don't have fathers. Some have neither. It's pretty callous of those complaining parents to act like this in light of the fact that some kids are really traumatized by these "holidays".
