I am strangely intrigued...

I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but I dislike watermelon. The actual fruit, I mean. In Jolly Rancher form, watermelon's a blast, but I haven't been able to eat the real thing since I was eight-years-old.

That's probably because watermelon Jolly Ranchers taste nothing at all like watermelon.

Just don't dip them in soda ok?

Has grape anything (grape Kool-Aid, grape Jolly Ranchers, ANYTHING) ever tasted even a little like a grape?

Maybe like bad wine with a 10:1 sugar ratio

I totally agree with them though.. In fact, I often use that exact same example.

I'm not a fan of watermelon. I do like watermelon flavored things though.

They go great with Fried Chicken flavored Quik.

I have never successfully raised a watermelon on my balcony, so I spit on your mutant Oreo flavor.

Yeah, but try asking for Skittlebrau, the beer with skittles in it, at the convenience store.

Chemical shiat-storm... NOW IN COLOR!

2013-06-17 02:58:13 AM
The problem with so many of these wild Oreo flavors is that they're sickly sweet, to the point where the cream tastes like honey. Not regular honey, mind you. Not like, Stop & Shop honey hiding in a plastic bear. I'm talking about the honey you'd find at a maw-and-paw general store in the middle of nowhere. I'd imagine it to be called something like, "Joe's Locust Wicker Hive Honey." And the label, if there was one, would be handwritten.

What's with the hate-on for real, fresh honey?  Does this guy prefer high fructose corn syrup over sugar cane too?

I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but I dislike watermelon. The actual fruit, I mean. In Jolly Rancher form, watermelon's a blast, but I haven't been able to eat the real thing since I was eight-years-old.

Ah.  This man is the pinnacle of the junk food industry's long term strategy.  Not only does he eat shiat, he prefers to eat shiat and turns his nose up at the healthy food that shiat is trying to emulate.  Sad.

Unlike the pure all-natural goodness that is the original Oreo.

I've never once in my life heard this rumor, and as soon as I read the headline I said 'oh HELLZ YEAH' - and normally I'm not the kind of person who uses random 'z' in my vernacular.

Honestly I don't know where that reaction came from but now I really want some.

EXCEPT... bananas. Bananas (specifically Gros Michel) used to taste quite a bit more like the fruit-gum-flavor-explosion you get from a candy like Starburst. Then the bananas died off on two continents in the '50s and we had to switch species.

Anything that reduces the budget funded by the heinous regime of the vile bastards hunting the stealth cocaine submarines is okey-dokey artichokey in my book.

Also, the taste of strawberries is orders of magnitude more unappealing to me than watermelon, and strawberry Oreos have been around for aeons. I think w.melon Oreos sounds interesting enough to buy at least once. Strawberries are GRODY OMG GAG ME WITH A SPOON

Seriously, they are missing out, how hard would it be for them to make graham cracker flavored cookies with key lime filling? Or even vanilla cookies with key lime filling?

So, after all that, we know:

1) The author hates the overwhelming sweetness of Oreo cookies

2) The author hates watermelon

3) The author likes Game of Thrones

4) Watermelon Oreos aren't quite as sweet as Sherbert Oreos.

And this article was supposed to be about Watermelon Oreos, but the only information it contains is a comparison to some other flavor I've never heard of. Good job.

For the time being until I come up with an actual recipe, you can buy vanilla "oreos" (I just get store brand) or chocolate if you prefer, lick out/scrape out the filling and use this in between:
i265.photobucket.com
of you can put it between graham crackers......but put it in the freezer for a few minutes because it is a lot softer than the creme that comes between the cookies. Ta-da

Anyway, there are Chocolate-Coated Oreos with Cocoanut filling. Coating screws up the milk absorption though.

Are those purple grape twists any good? I always see them at the checkout, but I've been afraid to try them.
