It's the first time I've seen it... what a bizarre group of people to showcase together.

I need to know before I click; does George Wendt eat beans in this movie?

Considering how long it has been, and the fact that many people did not see it back then, we have no problem sharing the link again.

What is this, I don't even...

The lower-third says Tonya Harding is a kunstloper i troubbel.....    and you know, I can't argue she wasn't.

What exactly was this thing done to accomplish; some charity? The dead and washed-up celebrities' home perhaps?

Apparently a promo for a Norwegian (I think, one of those Norse/Scandinavian places) version of those Remember the 70s/80s/90s specials that VH1 used to run (hell, maybe they still do).

Huh. I'm not a huge Glenn Close fan or anything, but it seems to me she's at least a tier or two above anyone else in this video. She's still pretty famous.

Sung in the key of B-list.

Jason Alexander is probably the biggest current name that showed up to actually get green-screened with the rest of them.  The most unintentionally funny part was the random scrapbook scene with the people they couldn't actually get like Pamela Anderson and Mickey Rourke.

Did these guys get VH-1 on the phone?  They basically brought together enough 80s and 90s has-beens to do celebrity reality shows for a decade for them.

I have seen this years ago on the internet, not via Fark. But, the positive is Steve Guttenberg still on occasion gets work. I saw his last in P.S. Your Cat is Dead which I think was straight to video and it was terrible.

The Beatles' The "Let It Be" ?

I'm just glad Øyvind was in it. He was always my favorite one of those guys in red shirts.

Leslie Nielsen is looking pretty good in that video.  (Steve Guttenberg not so much.)

Were all these skyped in?

Word. The guy has apparently lived in a frozen time warp for the past 25 years.

Again. What is it with your type? Not all of us spend our time seeing everything on the Internet, and we find it absolutely amazing that you point this out as if WE have some sort of deficiency? Maybe if you didn't vet every god*amned thing on the web and then decide its worth the effort to chastise someone for posting something, you might find time for a useful and meaningful existence.

Yeah, yeah, welcome to the Internet.

I enjoyed the post subby.

I found it to be harmless fun.  Don't really need to know why they did it or who they did it for.  Just let it be.

shiat, the alive dude from Milli Vanilli was lip synching. Freddy Krueger, Colombo, Rikki Lake, Bud Bundy, and Dolph Lundren all in the same music video? Can't go wrong with that.

Also, I would wreck Ricki Lake.

Upon watching the whole video, I'll take a Sheryl Lee, Ricki Lake, Sherilyn Fenn, and two Kathleen Turners.

To go. Thanks.

Didn't some of them sue because the people had done this at interviews on red carpets and didn't get permission to use them in the video/promo?

it has been some time so I might be remembering wrong...

AverageAmericanGuy: and two Kathleen Turners.

And luckily for you, now she IS two Kathleen Turners!

Interesting just to count who is dead now.  Also I couldn't believe they didn't include Abe Vigoda.

Something about their voices doesn't match the way I remember them sounding.

I'm assuming they didn't fly them all out to Norway to film this.  They probably went to various studios near them, stood in front of a green screen, lip synced to the lyrics, then recorded the vocals in the studio, and e-mailed all of that to Norway where the video was pieced together and the vocals were autotuned to hell and back to get everyone singing in the same key.

Especially that Fab guy. Seriously, his voice doesn't sound like the voice on his album at all.
