(Business Insider)   Revised for 2013, here's NSA's keyword list to make them think you belong in GITMO. Since "nerd" is on the list, we're all terrorists. Change you can believe in, right?   (au.businessinsider.com) divider line 102

Back in the day, people used to put keywords like this into their USENET signatures to feed the NSA line eater. The EMACS editor has an 'M-x spook' command to insert a suitable block of random spy-themed text, so it shouldn't be hard to update it with the new word list.

This must be the NSA trolling with misinformation.

I see words like ninja, jihad (what terrorist with an iq beyond 70 would use the word jihad), pornstars, weekly word news, RX-7.

But more sensitive words like RDX, Los Alamos, Tor is missing.

/Hi NSA, just here being lawful and discussing you as a news story, not planning to overthrow the government or be violent or anything like that.

They don't care about word spreading about Tor. They like people thinking that Tor is safe. It makes their jobs easier. Like having the cattle walk themselves onto the killing floor.

GhostFish,

Are the secure vpn services any better?

Tor is a pain in the ass anyway, it feels like dialup.

If we expect a terrorist will start sharing details in the open, he'll keep changing his code words. When we make a list, he'll just use different words.

/You might as well stick the wholem dictionary in the tracking computer.
/I guess we're all terrorists now.

Vectron: Gorelick ? It is dangerous for people to know Kenny G's real name?

[userserve-ak.last.fm image 454x322]

Kenneth Bruce Gorelick (born June 5, 1956), better known by his stage name Kenny G. He was born in Seattle, Washington, to Jewish parents and grew up in the city's Seward Park neighborhood, which is a center of the city's Jewish community.

Maybe not dangerous, but do you really want to admit that you know this? I really hope that I forget this bit of information in the future so I don't ever have to admit that I know.

2013-06-16 06:16:48 PM
Did anyone even check "attrition.org"? It's the worst site I've ever seen, and that's saying a lot. White-on-black text and links that aren't highlighted so you don't even know they're there. It DOES have a link to something called dalalossdb.org....which seems to be about data theft and security breaches, which would be what NSA would actually LIKE to know about.

Muddled source is muddled.
