(NASCAR)   It's the Quicken Loans 400 at Michigan International Speedway, the only track that Dale Jr. has won at since 2006. Can he do it again? Or will he continue being the most popular driver to not live up to his popularity? Flag drops at 1pm ET on TNT   (nascar.com) divider line 446

I've seen maybe 10 minutes of actual racing since I turned the tv on 40 minutes ago. I'm out.

rhiannon: smerfnablin: The entire field just passed Danica

Something must be wrong with her car, she's up to 17th. Don't think it's designed to run over 20th.

She restarted 5th

This will self correct back to 30th in a few laps

Yes, once it sees wide open space it will run back and hide with its comrades.

I think it's time a lot of us just readjusted to the fact NASCAR is going to be about long green flag runs again. It's been awhile, but it's not like it isn't "actual racing." It's just different. Of course, NASCAR (the organization) chops any attempt at impressive domination off at the knees with its incessant phantom debris cautions, so that breaks long term strategy constantly.

Of course, my solution is to chop air dams and splitters off the noses of the car, but for some reason NASCAR isn't listening to me.

Looks like they're under the hood of the #11.  Not sure what's up.

Mystery debris, mystery pit stops.  I guess TNT knows mystery now too.

2013-06-16 02:30:44 PM
Y'know, if we're going to keep doing this commercial-debris thing, the least they could do is time it so we can watch the green flag stops when we come back from break.

2013-06-16 02:31:50 PM
Shocking changes to the 11.

Found it. I think that was a bit before my time in these threads. Weeners is The NaSkAr hoping the 48 will explode. Heh.

Thank you for posting this.  It's a fun read and interesting to note that farkers complained about stuff just as much back in '06.

If Best Buy is going to use tight close-ups in their commercials, they ought to use prettier actors.

Hmmm...the beer is starting to work.

Kasey Kahne doesn't wanna be the guy to take the lead from Dale Jr. That would make him a villain. Nobody wants to be a villain.

The cast of characters may change, but the attitude doesn't. Heh.

Though the weird thing for me is I was Farking fairly regularly back then *and* watching races in my dorm room. Not quite sure how I missed the discussion threads. I guess I just assumed Fark wouldn't be the place for that, and so I never noticed 'em.

What will we miss during this commercial?

I lurked on Fark for years. I remember the 9/11 threads. Didn't sign up for whatever reason. Finally realizing there are race threads was a rather pleasant surprise.
