A runaway bear in Vancouver? Is this a repeat from June 15th, 2011?

Chases it around the neighbourhood in her farking car. Hey biatch next time just go inside, pop a Xanax, and call animal control. You live in Canada and you should expect an occasional bear (or two) in your back yard.

^ Or if it was Vancouver, WA then delete the bits about Canada but keep the part about leaving the bear alone.

Right, every one knows that we Canadians all live in the wilds in Igloos and log cabins and survive by trading animal pelts with the Hudson Bay Company.

1. can't shoot a video without a zillion OMGs
2, vertical video
3. It's not uncommon for bears to show up in that neighborhood
4. chases a bear in a car while filming on a wet street
5. chases down a bear

I started going beep, beep, beep, and then it was like ... half my brain was gone. It was kind of ... a bummer

Except for college, every other place I've lived, from VA to CA and everywhere in between, has involved bears in my back yard. You certainly don't want them getting comfortable there, but it is rarely a big deal. It's just bears.

I searched to see if she had uploaded the vid she shot to someplace like YouTube. Then I came across this KVAL news story with video: "Teen chases down a bear: 'It's a (bleeping) bear, you guys!'", which seems impressed by her swearing. That site explains:

"video shot by 18-year-old Daniella Mathews. Most of the video was shot sideways. This image was rotated and color-corrected."

// something about a few sandwiches short of a  full picnic basket.

Someone please do the world a favor and drop her with a tranquilizer gun, drag her 20 miles into the woods for a humane release. Hopefully she won't find her way back.   It's for her own good.

You people are assholes.  I'd be pretty damned freaked out if I came upon a large wild carnivore in my backyard too.  I might even be freaked out enough to shoot a vertical video.

/OK, probably not
//but still

As someone who manages an actual Hudson's Bay Company Fur Trade fort near Vancouver, I'm getting a kick, etc.

Agreed!  That is definitely the best course of action.   And once they're finished with that, they should do something about the bear too.
