Slow moving turtles were making their buses between terminals look bad.

So they spent millions on paving a mile long runway but they couldn't afford a couple of thousand more for a two foot tall fence?

I'm tired of these monkey fighting turtles on this Monday to Friday runway!

Aren't turtles pretty slow already? How are they going to slow them?

TFA: "These turtles are actually a protected species in New York," Burke said, "but their numbers have gone up significantly in the area around the airport over the past five years or so."

Sounds like it wasn't an issue when they built the runway. It is now, hence them putting up a small barrier.

Great idea. Or maybe they could deter the diamondback terrapins' path with 4,000 feet of 8-inch-wide plastic piping along runway 4L, which juts into the bay near some of the native reptiles' favorite area marshes, according to researchers.

Srsly, Mario is supposed to be a recent immigrant to Brooklyn, so he should be super close to JFK, if he isn't rescuing that filthy whore Peach from the retarded giant tortoise again.

Building a major airport in a shallow coastal bay consisting of wetlands and flood plain. Do you think we may have problems with aquatic fowl and wildlife?

Well, we would build in the bog but it is already full of tract housing.

The wetlands were there first. They haven't gone anywhere since.

If this were in CT, they would close the airport until a runway could be built over the turtles walking path.
