Well you damn sure can't accuse him of not running out a pop fly.

He did his part, but didn't cost them the game. That honor belongs to Jeff Nelson.

The same reason the the main site hates periods.

I think what happened in the Indians game was worse.

Wow. I expected some sort of weird hop or something like that, but that was just bad. He must've thought there were two outs already, I guess...

It's one thing to make that sort of gaffe after a long game working hard on the field, but Casilla was a pinch runner.  I guess he zoned out, was surprised to find out he was being put in, and never bothered to find out what was going on in the game.

It didn't look like he was full speed halfway between 1st and 2nd, so I wonder if he didn't lose the ball, a la Ronnie Smith in the '91 World Series.

He was definitely holding up in the beginning, which means he lost the ball or he thought the fielder wasn't going to be able to catch it.

Well, there is the play that ensured that the Orioles couldn't get a sweep in this series.  In fact, Baltimore hasn't swept anyone yet (I believe they've been swept once, in a two game series).  I guess I shouldn't complain though, they still win more of their series than they lose, and are 10 games over .500.  After recent years, last year notwithstanding, this has been a very fun team to watch recently.

That's the one thing killing me with this team, can't get a sweep, 1.5 back from first place after 3 of 4 from the Red Sox is still a plus though.
