And I grew up with Englebert  on 8-track eating lunch at the restaurant owned by my grade-school friend whose parents were spooky Greek mafia. Opa!

Yeah, it's hot when it's up there.   Almost no buildings have air conditioning and the sun is out for nearly 20 hours right now.  Houses heat right the f*ck up.

What's the humidity like? That's gotta be awful.

soosh: Torion!: Great to hear your show again.
A highlight of my week is making it to a computer in time to hear it.

/csb, was in juneau awhile ago,
thanks for all the travel suggestions.
missed the bears and buying you a beer.

Oh, cool, I wondered how your trip went?  What all did you do?

wife and I had a great time taking a three and four year old up there on the plane. stewardesses were nice, but of course one of my snowflakes has an allergy, but compensates nicely by announcing that boogers taste great....

so dropped the kids off with family and
visited the brewery
Tram
Whale watching
Salmon fishing - beat water with lure, both salt and lake fishing
Tourist - lots of photos, glacier, mailboxes, a shot of krnn with a rainbow
Ate burritos on a balcony
bought awesome, cheap clothes from the tshirt factory.

/we had a great time with a cell phone breakdown on the third day, and spent the next seven without them.  from there we pretty much tried to stalk you (sorta kidding) by asking store owners about poster promos's around town, and trying to visit every bar and loudly bring up the livingstone stapler company.

Had a similar problem in NW Washington state. The cat was a puddle on the floor until I got a window unit! I wanted to rent a hotel room, but they were all booked except for the non-cooled units - curses! Also, hot jazz - a fair constant?

50% right now, which is low.   If you were outside today, there were nice breezes off the ocean.  It was pleasantly warm, but not oppressively so.

When played for the first time in 1966 , Season of the Witch came in at a little over four minutes. It broke the ceiling for radio "timed" songs.
Music industry execs / AD agency execs & Program directors were holding listeners hostage. Average play time was limited to 2 minutes / 30 seconds.
Less music meant MORE ads. Within 2 years late night DJ's were playing complete sides of records .... Because of Season of the Witch.
