Lord Flashheart: And Melchy! Still worshipping God?
Melchet: My lord.
Flashheart: Last thing I heard, He started worshipping ME!

Let me try this again...

Lord Flashheart: And Melchy! Still worshipping God?
Melchet: My lord.
Flashheart: Last thing I heard, He started worshipping ME!

My personal favorite quote! Starts at 1:06. Best when coming straight from Rick Mayall:

Rocket To Russia: Melchet: My lord.

I liked his documentary where he finds the TRUE KING OF THE BRITAINS living in Australia.

My favorite Blackadder quote is two actually:

First:

George: "If we do happen to step on a mine, Sir, what do we do ?"

Blackadder: "Normal procedure, Lieutenant, is to jump 200 feet in the air and scatter oneself over a wide area."

Second:

Lord Flasheart: All right men, let's do-oo-oo it! The first thing to remember is: always treat your plane like you treat your woman!

Lieutenant George: How, how do you mean, Sir? Do you mean, do you mean take her home at weekends to meet your mother?

Lord Flasheart: No, I mean get inside her five times a day and take her to heaven and back.

No surprise here. Roberts is a screaming Lefty in real life, while Atkinson is more conservative. Plus, Atkinson indulges in driving fast cars. Most decidedly un-PC.  The left dominated Brit establishment knows how to take care of their own....

But is it a large turnip out in the country?

corq: ShawnDoc: corq: Robinson's documentaries have always been fascinating and favorites of mine anytime I can queue them on netflix or elsewhere, and just for fun I'll pivot back to watching him in Blackadder

Any place where they are streaming?  Seems the only thing on Netflix is a Time Team DVD.

Yeh looks like they have rotated out of Netflix for the moment;  There seem to be "seasons" where Netflix rotates documentary series in/out of availability but keep a list and search for these, they'll probably all come back at once:

Tony Robinson's Gods & Monsters (series)
The Worst Jobs in History (Series)
Decoded: Dan Brown's Lost Symbol  <-- weakest of the many variant documentaries he's done, but probably would be the easiest to find. None of these currently in US Netflix :(

Not that I would advocate anything illegal but they do appear to be on ThePirateBay.

If I knew what that was of course

OtherLittleGuy: Lord Binky: I think the world is ready for one more Black Adder. Make him a scheming middle manager competing against Hugh Laurie to climb the corporate ladder under Melchet or something.

I'd settled for a House UK with Robinson as Watson as Richardson as Cuddy.

/and Rowan Atkison as either Taub or Foreman

Chase.

Hey, it would be the UK version, so it might work!  ;)

Subby: Baldrick gets a knighthood while Blackadder gets a turnip shaped exactly like a thingie

Which is funny, because Baldrick has a thingie that's the exact same shape as a turnip!

Six_By_Nine: Blackadder:  You don't mean...like the Earl of Doncaster.
Baldrick:  I mean  justlike the Earl of Doncaster.

/the first series is unfairly maligned.

The show really didn't find its feet until the second series. Blackadder is too much of a sniveling ponce in series one, when he's much better as the acid tongued Lord Blackadder in later series.

/series one still has its moments
//also second the idea of a new Blackadder series set in the '80s at some cutthroat corporation

Norfolking Chance: ThunderChild: Soulcatcher: fusillade762: OBE? MBE? CBE? WTF?

CBE is the one that the Knighthood comes with- Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.

Wrong. KBE is a knighthood, that entitles you to call yourself Sir/Dame.

It goes MBE (Member) < OBE (Order) < CBE (Commander) < KBE (Knight). Then I tihnk there's some other stuff above that like Order of the Garter that you can only get if you're aristocracy or some such. The British Honours system is ridiculously over-complicated..

Also known as M(y)B(loody)E(ffort) and O(ver peoples)B(loody)E(ffort) because the MBE goes to the plebs while the OBE goes to the well to do.

Reminds me of:

Hacker: Well, what has Sir Arnold to fear, anyway? He's got all the honours he could want, surely?Bernard: Well, naturally he has his G.Hacker: G?Bernard: Yes; you get your G after your K.Hacker: You speak in riddles, Bernard.Bernard: Well, take the Foreign Office. First you get the CMG, then the KCMG, then the GCMG; the Commander of theHacker: [chuckles] What does GCMG stand for?Bernard: "God Calls Me God."

I feel sorry for Rowan, he's spent his last money on an expensive windcheater, ruined a priceless turnip, and to top it off he's about to be murdered by a naked tunisian sock merchant.
