Mock26: I hope someone backs the Syrian government with even better weapons.

OgreMagi: troops being affected are NOT happy

Find me a happy soldier and I'll show you a pogue.

Happy? If they wanted you to have happiness, they'd issue it to you.

Well, at least it's just weapons and not sending in troops.

Although the administration has attempted to differentiate between FSA militants and Al-Qaeda terrorists in Syria, the two groups have become one and the same.

Ow! That was my feelings!: Here's a quick google for 'Syrian rebel atrocites'''. Come for the massacres of Christians and Shi ites, stay for the individual beheadings for blasphemy.

And the best part is America is borrowing money to help out.

ongbok: SmithHiller: This all makes sense now. Obama has bought all the ammo and will now start confiscating all the guns and ship them  overseas so he can help his Muslim brothers.
Thanks a lot Obama!!

The House did vote to delay the Department of Homeland Security from buying ammunition. It is always nice when one of the political parties votes to support conspiracy theories.

It's certainly not a conspiracy theory that there's an ammo shortage right now.  Have you tried buying ammo lately?  It's either WAY more expensive than it should be, or just not available, and this has been going on far too long.  It may be that the government is buying it up, it may be that it's just a perception issue, but something is needed.  A friend of mine had a hard time getting enough to requalify for his armed security license recently.

What happened to the days when a good well spook operation would purchase multiple  Kalashnikov from some near buy country and smuggle them in and no one would have to know about it ???

Awesome.  I just shot a load of SHOCK AND AWE all over my carpet.

Mrs.Sharpier: Over 90k have been killed there, we shouldn't wait until this gets to Bosnia levels horrible.

Why stop there?  With a little push in the right direction, we can get it up to Rwanda levels.

durbnpoisn: Well, at least it's just weapons and not sending in troops.

because surely all the weapons will only be used by the rebels. yes, that's it.

MaudlinMutantMollusk: R.A.Danny: How many wars are we trying to get in at the same time?

What's the record?

I count three land wars in Asia now.

Tellingthem: Vectron: Shut up citizen, it will be good for the economy and Krugman says its easier than killing aliens.

We have a problem.
The companies want something done about this sluggish
world economic situation
Profits have been running a little thin lately
and we need to stimulate some growth
Now we know
there's an alarmingly high number of young people roaming
around in your country with nothing to do but stir up trouble
for the police and damage private property.
It doesn't look like they'll ever get a job
It's about time we did something constructive with these people

Come on Wall Street, don't be slow,
Why man, this is war a-go-go
There's plenty good money to be made
By supplying the Army with the tools of its trade,
But just hope and pray that if they drop the bomb,
They drop it on the Viet Cong.
And it's one, two, three,
What are we fighting for ?
Don't ask me, I don't give a damn,
Next stop is Vietnam.
And it's five, six, seven,
Open up the pearly gates,
Well there ain't no time to wonder why
Whoopee! we're all gonna die.

Learning from the past doesn't seem to be Americas strong suit.

Vietnam forgotten, Mr. McCain?
I mean you were there and all, but you just can't remember the fine details.

Maybe it needs to be BEATEN out of you.

Yeah I said it.

I need you to get out there and talk about Gay Marriage .
A message we can own and the saps will suck up."

Arcanum: Remember when a lot of people scoffed that the Nobel Prize for Peace given to Obama, well before he had done anything at all?  It was hilarious.

Well, I guess that's over.  Peace through superior firepower.  Obama is doing the right thing, and it's good that the Nobel Prize is accidentally vindicated.  You don't end a war without winning starting it.
