Soon after the girl returned to her car and drove off, the man popped up from behind the seat with a knife and told the girl where to drive. Roy then ordered the girl to stop the car and take off her clothes.

Oops. But c'mon, who hasn't had a misunderstanding like that?

I started to get into the wrong car, once.  It was exactly the same make, model, and color of my car, but one row from where I had parked.  I got halfway in and realized something was wrong.

Not hottie teen in it, though.

One time we were leaving a party and my friend said I was drunk, he'd drive, so I handed him the keys, we got in the car. He couldn't get the car started though. We sat there for a few minutes, then I realized, this isn't my car. If the actual owner had shown up, would I have asked him/her to take off her clothes? Him? No. Her? Maybe.

Indeed, it's pretty easy to make a mistake like that, especially when the damn things look identical.  Who among us hasn't innocently wandered into the wrong car, house, or vagina every now and then?

FTA : He was arrested and charged with kidnapping and intent of rape

I get the kidnapping, but intending to commit another crime, and not actually doing so?

I seem to recall Bobby Kennedy (in some footage of some hearing at some point or other) tearing someone a new one for pursuing crimes that might have happened.

I once stood in front of my car clicking the unlock button for a good 60 seconds before realizing that it wasn't my car. My car was parked on a different level that day. I did not attempt to play knifey-spoony with the car's owner, however.

Saying 'On Accident' is as dumb as saying "I need to itch my itch" instead of "I need to scratch an itch"

I think the old Ford Tempo of the 80's or so only had about 20 different key combinations. Knew a nice old guy that may have had slight dementia go Xmas shopping at mall. Came back for what he thought was his car and drive it home. He realized the difference and in a panic, took it back to the mall and got his own car.

i caught somebody parking in my driveway, and called a tow.
the owner said they parked there on accident.

i asked if he was thrown into the apartment (where i tracked him down) in that accident.

I had a Grand Am I got out of class and went to "my Pontiac" (in a crowded, haphazard parking lot in East Lansing) and actually started the car. I didn't get it out of park because the radio immediately came on and I was like, "oh hell no" and finally looked around the car. Not mine.

Was it supposed to start? Kind of
Disturbed me. Please tell me that is not normal.

Yeah, the lack of someone pounding on the trunk from inside should have been a dead giveaway that it was the wrong car.

Back in the 80s when Harleys were complete crap, they had so few key combinations that it was very easy to steal a brand new Harley.  But since this was in the 80s, no one would want to steal one.

Came home sometime shortly after sunrise on a Sunday morning, totally hammered with 3 beers still left on the plastic ring. Key would not work so I decided to jump from breezeway to balcony. Once on balcony I found the sliding glass door was locked also. I never locked my balcony door! I was so pissed. I looked around balcony and realized I had been robbed. My balcony furniture was gone as well as my hammock. But with my Columbo like skills, I realized the thieves had left a BBQ grill, one of which I never owned. I am pretty sure the rest of you Farkers can figure out the rest of the story.

" His computer revealed porn and rape searches on the internet, and Roy admitted to watching violent porn on his cell phone."

This part is circumstantial. So what if he had porn searches on his PC, and on all the porn streaming sites they have various playacting violent porn. In addition to all the pseudo incest stuff and other subjects. Just the fact that the dude was in the girl's car and gave a lousy alibi should be enough.

My car was held together by gaffers tape, duct tape, and luck.

Totally dangerous from November through March. Awesome. Mostly a toboggan with headlights.

It's the prosecutor showing that his guy has something very wrong with him and for the jury to give him the harshest sentence.

he might have been ok saying he was drunk/sleepy from staying up all night and crawled into the back of his own car to take a nap.  When he awoke, the car was in motion.  Hey said. hey wahat the hell and this girl stopped and ran.   I got out and realized it wasny my car and walked back to the store.  yes, officer that was me.  admit to everything except the wacky shiat the girl is saying.

Dont know what to do about looking up'how to rape someone' on the macbook , though.  Maybe use Knoppix to ram?

Oh come on. Modern cars just look all the same, don't they? One of the reasons that I don't own a car yet is that I don't feel that I have grown up to the challenge to find my own car in a parking lot full of similar cars. Seriously, how do you do that? This is something that they don't teach at driving schools.

So, I am totally believing his story. When the girl found him, she went on and demanded him to have sex with her - you know, no one rides for free,- she even took her clothes off, but he said HELL NO WHERE AM I and freaked out because she wasn't hot at all and now look who's in jail.

Fix the cable? I gave him every HBO, Cinimax, Showtime channel available, not to mention full WiFi and this was in 1985, so that is saying something. Actually vacuumed his carpet, did the dishes, and took dog for a walk while I was at it.

Count me among those that have accidentally entered the wrong car. I was going to work at ~4:00am. I went out to the parking lot and used my key to open the door of a red Sentra. I put the key in the ignition and it didn't work. I made sure that the car was in park and I pushed down hard on the brake pedal and I tried again - I'm not quite fully awake yet - and it still didn't work. At that point I looked around; saw an unknown sticker on the windshield and something I didn't recognize hanging off the rear view mirror. It was then that I realized I was in the wrong car. I exited the car, locking the door and looked around to find my car. In my defense, my wife had parked the car the previous evening, so I didn't know exactly where it should be.

CSB:  This happened years ago, sometime in the early 90s.  I had gotten a new car (okay, used, but it was new to me)--a 1985 Oldsmobile Omega.  First day I had it, I stopped at Quick Chek for milk on the way home. I parked, left the car running, and ran inside.  Got my milk, jumped into the still-running car and, as I pulled out, a voice in the back seat said, "You're not my Mommy".  There was a kid in the back seat, probably around 4.  My heart stopped and then I finally took a good look at the car.  It was grey like mine, had the same look as mine, the same burgundy interior, but the dash was woodgrain where mine was vinyl.  And the giant Mercury logo on the steering wheel just about did the Nelson "Ha-Ha" laugh.  I look around the lot and see my car a couple of spots over.  Threw the car into gear, parked it back in its space, didn't see a frantic mother, so jumped into mine, and took off.

In my defense, all the sedans in the mid-80s were boxes with wheels.  Could have happened to anyone.

I did that once when on vacation in Mesa. I had a rental I wasn't used too. same make, color and everything. Only realized something was wrong when my key wouldn't start it. I was parked three cars over. Glad the owner didn't come out while I was sitting there trying to start it.

I've gotten in the wrong car too. I was traveling somewhere and had a white rental car and went in a convenience store. I unlocked it and got in a white car. Completely wrong car. Got out half expecting to get my ass kicked and got into the right one in the next slot.

I have yet to get stabby with someone. Sounds messy.
