That could have been really funny if they did a tongue-in-cheek 'horror movie' portraying the real things pregnant women go through, climaxing in the actual birth.  But instead it sucked.

Roman Polanski did it better.

So ... basically Rosemary's Baby Meets Paranormal Activity.  There, I just saved everybody fifteen bucks.

A long time ago when I was in the service, I went through EMT training. Part of this training included emergency child birth and included a film of a woman giving birth,  This film left NOTHING to the imagination as the baby crowned, and then was pushed out.  Then of course there was the placenta that had to pass.  Once the woman finished giving birth, the instructor stopped the projector, turned up the lights and proceeded to resume his lecture. He said that on rare occasions, a women would experience anti-birth and we had to be prepared.  He went on to say the next part of the file dealt with this situation and with that he turned out the lights and switched the projector back on -- in reverse.

Yep... we got to watch that placenta and baby shoot back up into the mother. I will say, he pulled that off very effectively. A room full of young, green troops who had no clue what he was talking about suddenly being presented with a giant pussy sucking a baby into it...

Nothing made with "Shaky Cam" technology has ever been scary or ever will be.

Fark off with your jittery bullshiat. It isn't even a gimmick, it's just terrible.

I don't know, Cloverfield was pretty scary. I was deeply afraid after 15 minutes in the theatre that I was going to toss my cookies from so much shaky cam. I spent 3/4 of that film looking at my feet, simply to keep from vomiting.

Exactly what I was thinking. What was that other movie with Demi Moore in it? She was pregnant with the anti-Christ? This story has been done to death. No pun intended.

The Seventh Sign, and she was pregnant with the Messiah or someone like that.  The one thing I remember was there was a kid with Down syndrome in it whose character killed his parents because "God told me to" and the media made a huge deal about it--this was obviously pre-Corky.

I had the exact same reaction! When she was contorting at the end I lol'd. I mean, it'd make a great parody of the real horrors of pregnancy.

Weeping man: "S-she, she at all the mayonnaise. JUST the mayonnaise. How am I *sob* going to make a sandwich now?"

The pregnant horror movie they should remake for an American audience, but no movie studio would do it unless it could get a PG-13 rating:

If the devil really was going to impregnate a women, he wouldn't make the next nine months such a living hell that everyone would want to terminate the pregnancy.  He's supposed to be smarter than that.  He'd make sure it was the most comfortable, easy pregnancy in history.

Which would make for a very boring movie.

Not A-movie great but features two f-f-f-faaaar-greater-than-the-film-deserves performances (by Brooke Adams and James Karen).

Adjust your expectations and you'll have a Z-movie good time.

Get drunk and stand up.....the movie will either not be "shaky" or you'll fall over and puke.

Can't be any more horrifying than that scene in A Serbian Film, or more beautiful than Inside.

I don't know, the original version The Omen was pretty damn badass.

Can't tell if it's supposed to be a scary movie, a funny movie, or a fake movie.

Fails at all three.

It's almost like it's not really a movie...just a trailer. The trailer doesn't have to really represent the movie.

Of course the movie will obviously suck as bad as the trailer does. For chrissake the obligatory steam coming from her mouth didn't even look real.

This was his decoy pregnancy.  The real child of the devil was born to a loving soccer mom/middle manager couple a few towns over.

God I farking hate these POV nanny cam view movies.

Pfft. I scoff at the movie. Had a baby last nearly a month ago using just laughing gas for pain because they said I couldn't get an epidural. Five people holding me down. If I had this kid before the first one, there wouldn't have been a second one.
