Must not have known the number for the suicide hotline.

He was wearing it ironically.

He's got a Pabst in his other hand.

The majority of Iranians actually like us Americans.

Our government?  Yeah... not so much.  Then again, they'll probably give our congress a higher approval rating than we do ourselves.

There's only one letter's worth of difference between guts and nuts.

Actually, is that still true in Farsi?

It's Iran, not Nigeria.

Lel, like voting in Iran is kind of ironic. The people do not even get to properly choose who gets to oppress them, even that is rigged.

They were our buddies until the CIA meddled in their internal politics and caused a revolution that brought Islamists to power.

They'd only be continuing what the current House majority is trying to do because of a Democrat being in office and a black one at that.

To be fair, that's kind of our fault. There are a subset of idiots(militarists all) that blame France for our involvement in Vietnam. Like France was twisting our nuts and forcing us to support fundamentalist dictators that burn temples full of Buddhists alive.

I have been to many countries, but I seriously haven't been in a country where the people were as nice and welcoming as Iran. 99% of those under 40 hate their government and the religious bullshiat.

To be fair that is how most of us should feel about Iranians. Culturally Iran should be one of the strongest allies that the west has in the region. It's pretty pathetic how in 2013 we are still dealing with fallout from the assassination of a minor member of European royalty that occurred in 1914.

LULWUT?

Yeah, France had nothing to do with that. They totally weren't brutally oppressing and exploiting the native people through the alcohol / opium / salt monopolies either. Nope -  nothing to see here.

Despite the bad media rap, Iran is actually one of the more westernized cultures in the mideast. It helps that their fanatically religious leaders isn't propped up by foreign interests as much as some of the other oil states.
