Superman directs his heat vision at a piece of metal from the ship that brought him to earth. The heat vision bounces back to his face, burning the stubble off.

It's been in continuity for around 30 years now. There's no real debate as to how Superman shaves.

If Gillette paid you enough you'd be willing to ignore continuity, too. Just ask DCs editors.

DC Comics?

They haven't published a new comic book since August 2011.

I always like the theory that he had some kind of force field around his body that's just subconsciously activated but he deactivates it while he's shaving.

In other news mythbusters are a tired show recycling stories that others have done far better.

I have until now refused to watch any of those Gilette theories for this very reason. It's been established for a long time how he shaves; it was even shown once on the animated series.

the point of a viral advertisment campaign is to get you to talk and think about the product they are selling without you realizing that you are being sold anything.

yes, it is a well established thing how superman shaves, and everyone from Gillette to the mythbusters, to all the other schmucks know that is cannon.

and they are happy that you are hopping in to a message board, and sharing the story on social media sites to correct them and tell the what is cannon and what is not. Because, now, all your freinds are brand aware of Gillette, and the new Superman movie.

thank you for your cooperation citizen

SO MUCH THIS. The whole idea of the show is being done so much better on any random YouTube clip than they can conjure up now. Old and busted.

Kryptonian suits turned off hair follicles. At least they did in the late-80s/90s/00s continuity. Kryptonians didn't have any health problems because all bio-metrics were monitored and properly regulated. Not to mention genetic defects weeded out through eugenics.

Are his turd indestrucatble? Doe he have super powered spit? Earwax?

I have a hard time getting into the Superman stories. If you have an indestructable charecture, who can turn back time, just about every scenaro is lame.

I think the bigger question should be why does he even bother shaving? He looks awesome with a beard.

Shaving aside, I noticed that this Superman is very hairy with chest hair sticking out the top of his suit.

I like it!!!
