bungle_jr: so, not an ugly one in the bunch?

Seriously, they exist of course, but you will find very, very few places with a higher percentage of really attractive women.

bungle_jr: Cyberluddite: I've spent some time in Iceland, and I can assure you that not all Icelandic women are cute.  Sure, many are cute, but the rest are drop-dead beautiful.

I've never been to Iceland, but I've seen the Sigur Ros documentary and I saw a few women who were not attractive.

I hear ya. What is the point of being an adult if you care what others think about the music you dig? I'm all over the road from trendy to obscure.

agreed. i like pretty much every type of music...some much more than others (like, i am EXTREMELY selective with rap).

People can like what they like, but it is weird to me when people only listen to one genre. There is good music in every genre, and I don't like limiting myself. I'm open minded. I will give it a listen.

i was checking out new releases...this seems to be amazing to me...just found them about 20 minutes ago

progressive post rock? I don't know...kick ass instrumental whatever you want to call it.

bungle_jr: i don't understand the hatred of them...i never say this, but considering they are somewhat unique-ish and super popular, i'm guessing a lot of the "hate" is "envy" ("jealous" gets misused more than "ironic" does) in, "why didn't i think of being a british brendan fraser look-alike playing simple-but-energetic americana-type music with an acoustic guitar and a bass drum, with a banjo player, etc?" he made a million dollars!

Or, maybe it's just bland when posh people act like they've discovered the poors' music for the first time.

busy chillin': They aren't going to save the world or anything, and they aren't the best band ever. But, in this poppy shiny autotuned world I like how they just stand and deliver old-timey tunes. I guess I am just kind of happy they got as popular as they did in this new music world of entertaining dance/pop music

You were around in the 90s, and you made Hootie and Blowfish popular. God damn you.

The melody during the verse of "I Will Wait" sounds too much like "Teach Your Children" by Crosby Stills & Nash.
