A Jewish drunk at that.

I really hope Brady blows his knee out and they are stuck with Tebow to finish out the year.

I was surprised by this, too.  I'm guessing they're the printed jerseys and not the ones with stitched on numbers and logos.

well the patriots have never made it to a super bowl with a QB whose first or last name didn't start with T or B (Tony Eason '85, Drew Bledsoe '97, Tom Brady '01/'03/'04/'07/'11) so i guess Tim Tebow fits into that trend better than Ryan Mallett

/got nothing
//Timmy Sprinkles isn't there to start

My prediction:  The Pats overcome the loss of Welker and a few other key role players, Brady takes every snap in the year, and they squeak out a close fought Super Bowl.

/And Tebow gets a ring, just like Rob Johnson did after he left Buffalo
//You know it HAS to happen with all of the nonsense surrounding him

How? Brady's good looks? Pregame pep talks by Giselle ("remember - you supposed to catch the ball my husband throw")?

// according to wiki, Brady runs the 40 in 5.28
// I think my nephew (just turned 1) can crawl the 40 in 5.5

2013-06-14 10:27:33 AM
My prediction: The league and ESPN start fixing games, NBA-style, to get Tebow into a SB.

Because the world is a cruel place, and you know Tebow's got a better chance of getting a ring on the bench than he does as QB.

/Also, I don't think that his 40 time is an issue.  I don't think of Brady as a QB as much as a stationary football passing machine with a haircut.

One bit of info I learned from a golddigger I know: If you are an on-the-line athlete, get your ass to bible class. Owners see bible-toting as best way to overcome clubhouse thuggery. It can make the difference between a million dollar contract and no contract.

Absolutely. So? That doesn't explain how you think the Pats can get through the playoffs with a worse team than last year. (Team to beat: Texans. Assuming they stay healthy and AJ has gas in the tank.)

He'll never be an elite NFL QB with that kind of 40 time.

So did Jesus not watch Tebow in Denver or with the Jets?
Anyhow, reminds me of a few comments I saw on a Tebow fan page after the signing. Some dude called Tebow one of the best QBs to ever play the game, and that his lack of success in the NFL was only due to him being repressed because he is a Christian. Made me wonder if this guy had ever heard of Kurt Warner.

Sounds like the bible thumper I work with. She was going on about how the NFL is "anti-christian" and Tebow is the greatest QB since ever and should've won a superbowl ever year since he joined.

That's the great thing about the Christian god.  He "works in mysterious ways".  Actually just once I'd love to hear a player cuss god out for making him screw up a play.  "Farking god, we would have won if he didn't make me land with one foot out of bounds.  What an asshole."

The article says, "Patriots owner Robert Kraft mentioned the word three times in explaining to reporters why Tebow appealed so much to his franchise."

Of course, the article also goes on to say, "Kraft also praised Tebow for something for which he has been criticized, calling his throwing motion 'pretty good.'" Which shows Kraft is, indeed, drunk.

With 210 regular season wins (10.5 per year) under his 19 year ownership vs. 216 over the previous 32 years, I'll take a little wackiness.

and even then, the Pats will have Tebow as a starter one week while they troll available free agents for best available to take over starting duties and learn the offense.

Umm.. I know I'm a Pats fan.. but Mallett can throw his ever loving are off.
The kid has a strong, strong arm.. and looked pretty sharp in every preseason game he played.. i know, it's preseason, but he looks good.

Pats win SB, Brady retires as the best QB ever.. Mallet takes over.. the Pats go back to the SB in 3 years time. Bruins win the cup..Red Sox win the W.S.. and once again.. ONCE AGAIN.. Boston is the premier seafood and sports city in the US.
USA USA!

If I were on the defense and Tebow came in to replace a healthy Brady, I'd be pretty farking confused... so maybe you're correct.

my prediction, Amendola struggles to fill the slot receiver role that Welker did much in the same way that deep threats disappeared when Moss left, but the offense figures out how to use that rookie out of Marshall and Hernandez steps up as the main TE threat while Gronk gets his 12th venereal disease

People who actually care about football don't give two sh*ts about Tebow's faith. Drew Brees could be an outspoken Scientologist and I wouldn't care as long as he kept passing for 98,427 yards per year. His detractors (which is damn near all of us) are annoyed with him for a similar reason people were annoyed with the Cowboys a few years ago: Complete media obsession over a product that doesn't produce. When Tebow starts generating elite stats, the attention will be warranted. Except he won't, based on everything we've seen.

Oh, and tell your co-worker that if the NFL is so anti-Chrisitian, why are so many players thanking god in interviews? Sounds like she's one of those people who confuse not succeeding with being oppressed.
