chewielouie: R Kelly's Doo Doo Butter: Thats cute how a lot of you people are judging this film before even seeing it.

It's Fark. They thought Iron Man and The Avengers would suck based solely on the trailers.

The Avengers did suck. The 80 minute climax/battle would've worked fine without the lazy, hour-long exposition, because the faceless villains were never developed. Lokie had the sceptre and the tesseract at the beginning of the film, completely invalidating almost everything between that scene and the end climax.

In contrast, Iron Man's 20 minute climax/battle was the worst part of an otherwise smart movie (other than the distinctly American "one-man-army who will singlehandedly defeat the scary terrorists" scene that sold the movie).

Ow! That was my feelings!: No. With the Alamo Drafthouse showing up in my neighborhood, I've gone from spending $20 a flick for tix/drink to spending $50+, stupid alcoholism. No way I'm spending a Benjamin just to watch a farking movie.

Loving the Denver Alamo, where w saw Star Trek and Iron Man last month.  To me, the best part is no tv commercials, but preshow stuff themed to the movie itself like clips from the animated ST and IM.  The real winner: Don Cheadle as Captain Planet (Asshole edition).  That was unexpected to see at the theater.

Raw_fishFood: Thank the gods for Pacific Rim. Going to get atleast one badass action movie this summer.

Other than the trailer, there's a featurette out there about the jaegers that made me grin like a child.
