Or, you know, a program called PRISM decided to use a prism as their logo. Either way.

The whole thing is about as rational as Syd Barrett at a recording session for "The Madcap Laughs".

This will not do.

Uh yeah.

And that prism is a copy of Pink Floyds. I thought the article was satire, as it's obvious.

Are we surprised that prisms look like prisms, or diffract light?

If it's supposed to be a top-secret logo for a top-secret operation then I guess they can get away with ripping off things.

Why is the author shocked that a TS program didn't have an entire staff of graphic designers for its logo?

That was probably put together by one of the analysts in a pirated copy of photoshop for the first brief, and then lived forever...

You know, The Wizard of Oz is a not so thinly veiled harsh critique of capitalism. Since Wizard of Oz syncs with Dark Side of the Moon which has a prism on the album cover which has been copied by NSA's PR department... Uh, should I buy or sell stock in Reynolds?

I don't get the hate here. In '94 I bought a Prizm used, drove it for 6 years, and never spent a dime on it other than maintenance, it had 100K+ on it when I sold it to my little brother, he got another 60K out of it, then sold it so someone from work.

Luxury car? No, but not a shiatbox in the least.

It was actually a Toyota Corolla that GM had Toyota make with a different badge.  So yes it had good build quality and reliability.  Not pretty though.

In fact that was the whole point of GEO.  It was a GM unit with cars made by Korean and Japanese makers.  They wanted to get good economical cars but not "dilute" the other brand names with foreign cars.  So instead of Chevy Tracker it was Geo Tracker and made by Suzuki.  But then they killed Geo and just rolled the remains into Chevies and Pontiacs.  Hence the Pontiac Vibe (Toyota Matrix) and Chevy Tracker.
