As sensitive as a dog's ears are that shrill laughter probably didn't help.

CSB Time!

I had a very smart and willful German Shepherd/Border Collie mix a while back. One evening, my roommates and I were watching TV and eating strawberries, and my dog started pestering one of my roomies for a snack. So my roommate gives him a strawberry. The dog takes it in his mouth and gets that "Oh, you're telling me I'm supposed to eat this thing?" look on his face. Then he serioused. Evidently he decided he was going to eat that strawberry if it killed him. So he tosses the strawberry on the ground, hunches down, barks at it, paws at it, throws it in the air, pounces on it, barks at it some more, leaps up and growls at it, and then messily devours it as if it was some very very small chipmunk or something.

It was the funniest thing I'd seen. It was like the dog was convincing himself that the strawberry was a prey animal so he could bring himself to eat it, and thereby showing us who gets the last laugh.

I have spent hours of my life watching videos of babies eating lemons.

I will spend hours more of my life watching videos of babies eating lemons.

Get a hobby you say, get a life.

Watching videos of babies is my hobby.

Watching videos of babies eating lemons isn't my life but it certainly has enhanced it.

Fubini: Citrus is toxic to dogs LOLOLOL

So are a lot of things, if enough is ingested.  My dogs love onions and peppers.  I don't feed them a whole one but if a piece falls on the floor and they beat me to it....my hand isn't going anywhere near their mouths.   I just imagine this is a variation on the "poison fish" they serve up in japan, for dogs.

There's a sad follow-up video in which the dog dies immediately. Right there on the beach. Horrible.

Someone mute the harpies and dub some heavy metal over it? Death metal parrot has competition!

That list assumes intelligence and comprehension of commands based on repetitions before obedience. Siberian Husky is pretty far down that list, but not for lack of intelligence. They understand what you want the first time you ask, they're just gauging how badly you want something based on the number of times you ask it...
