LDM90: Is that one of those movies about an ugly girl who is really just a pretty girl with glasses?

Yes.

She's "brainy" (as evidenced by the fact that she can quote CNN!), "mousy," "anti-social" "art chick" who is one removed bobby pin and a pair of contact lenses away from ultra-babedom.

Headline must be sarcastic. "She's All That" is off-the-charts awful. Arty outcast learns happiness is wearing lip gloss and dating jocks with two-digit IQs? One of those fictional worlds where although jocks are all bastards, geeks secretly aspire to be jocks and everyone, regardless of clique, goes to the same parties? Not one character which isn't a horrible cliché? Yeah, great movie.

Here's a clue: Even Shyamalan wouldn't put his own name on it. It's that bad.

There's nothing wrong with having 2 good films on your resume. shiat, I have maybe 1/2. The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable were good films. Most great bands usually have only one good album in them even though they keep making shiat.

Shakespeare, who Night stole the idea from, wouldn't put his name on it either.

Of course, ol' will has an excuse...

I don't want to be that guy (I'm totally going to be that guy), but...ramifications of having a meh romantic comedy on your record aside, why reveal this now?  Is he that desperate for attention?  Is it something along the lines of, "I just took one of the most bankable stars in Hollywood and put him in a dud.  Quick, look at this tidbit that I hope is juicy enough to distract from the fact that whatever doubts there may have been about my not knowing what the hell I'm doing have now been forevermore eradicated."

StopLurkListen: Was "She's All That" a good movie? I have a hard time sensing the farcasm sometimes.

/fark sarcasm. don't make me explain it. dammit, I explained it

I genuinely like it but I have a thing for Rachel Leigh Cook.

Unbreakable was 1) better than The Sixth Sense, and b) better than any movie that Freddie Prinze Jr. has ever starred in.

/ffs.... excepting scream, matthew lillard might have a worse case of the anti-midas touch than m. night does.
//no, not munch's painting the scream.
///prinze jr. + lillard, in one movie. think about that for a moment.

That is the greatest twist of his career. Brilliant.
