Shanahan's going to play him until his kidneys fail, then say the Doctors called him fit to play.

Thank God Daniel Snyder didn't know about this.

He would have charged Make-a-Wish foundation for parking, at the least.

And Jaguars OTAs.

CKF is a motherfarker.

Completely unpredictable, happens at will and 95% of the time when it is caught, it's already too late. My sister has nephrodic syndrome, and my left piass-filter is going in her when the list catches up.

As an aside; fark dialysis as well.

Top two comments I snickers but pretty cool thing to do.

Still a better kick returner than Brandon Banks.

Yup and none of that wussy flak jacket crap either.  He needs to be able to make his cuts fast.

I would to think the Redskins D let the kid score, but Im pretty certain they were trying their best to stop him.

You know, I'm trying to picture something like this with the 1976 Raiders. Ted Hendricks and Phil Villapiano would have laid the kid out for the "full NFL experience".

They would have taken him out drinking afterwards, though, so there's that.

I wonder if he got paid the league minimum of $1109.58/day (annual/365)

/I don't wonder enough to have RTFA

I was led to believe that Redskins football generally involves a lot of crying

Kidney disease and dialysis both suck. That is absolutely true. My ex-boyfriend is waiting for a kidney.
Question: I thought only terminal kids got Make A Wish stuff. Article says he got a kidney last year.

I can't find it on the intertubes, but there is a story about a football player way back when (I'm thinking Hardy Brown, maybe Ed Sprinkle) who did something like that. They were filming a kids show or something, and they were going to let some clown (an actual clown) run through the defense and score. Apparently one the players just said "fark it" and went after the clown full bore.

/real men of genius.

No, IIRC, Make A Wish is for both terminal and extremely sick kids, so this kid would qualify.

But why did this kid not ask for John Cena? Does he hate the troops?

Representative of the unwashed masses: But why did this kid not ask for John Cena? Does he hate the troops?

Much like the Redskins average season win record, the kid couldn't rise above eight.

It's nice until you realize they only did it so they could harvest his ligaments for RGIII.

It's becoming tough to maintain my Redskins hate. RG3 has seriously helped my opinion of them, but the whole team seems pretty cool lately.

"Man, I need to renegotiate my contract," Morris said. "I want candy."

That literally made me laugh out loud

Mike Curtis would have not only knocked the kid into a coma, he would have cheated to do it.  Just because.

That's not how the NFL contracts work.  You get your pay over the regular season, 1/17th each week paid out every other week (so 8 checks for 2 weeks, 1 for 1 week).  You get next to nothing for preseason and nothing for OTAs.

There are a bunch of MAW charities, each with different localities (like Humane Societies or United Ways) and their rules vary from one to another.

The kid's name is Lateef?

Is that supposed to be French for "the teeth"? They should have went with Lesteef.

Morris seems to be taking his entire career well in stride so far. He's still living with his parents to save cash instead of buying a giant house, last I heard.

Just curious, but what would happen if someone was drafted, worked for one (or some other small number) of days and then was either fired or quit?  Wouldn't they get paid for that day?
