It's really pathetic how no one in the Republican party seems to have the stones to just tell the crazies in the party to STFU.  Instead, they tapdance around it, seeming to both distance themselves from this sort of rhetoric and, simultaneously, endorse it.

Let's check the calendar - yup, this week he's a evil genius super villain.  It's NEXT week that he's a empty suit puppet.

The average acts of normal people must appear grand and complex to mentally-challenged imps like Sessions.

The same Machiavelli, who wrote The Prince as a warning to the Borgias, not a how-to guide?

C'mon, at least call him an Emperor Tiberius or a Richard III or something a bit closer to the moronic, deluded point you're trying to make.

Wait a second here...You expect Sessions to have a grasp of history - non US history no less - and to employ that knowledge in the appropriate situational context?

Go home,  God Is My Co-Pirate, you're drunk.

Regrettably, everyone pretty much makes that same error.  And is the chief reason why we could never speak an Earth version of  Tamarian.  It would be pure nonsense.

If I were ever able to win a high enough public office that the Internet was making pictures of me, I'd have the best ones framed for my library.

If Jeff Sessions likes to lie in bed and imagine being dominated by a Radical Machiavelli who resembles someone he's met that's his business, not that there's anything wrong with that.

Even if he had an epiphany and feels the need to tell other people about it.

And do it on the taxpayers dime, especially when his state doesn't quite contribute its fair share -- everyone has a problem with that.

The Prince was written as a warning by Machiavelli, who was trying to win his way back into the good graces of the ruling class at the time.  He was probably fearing for his life too, since the ruling class had a tendency to go all Game of Thrones on the former leadership.

I guess this means that Obama will be writing a book to Hillary once she is elected in a few years.

I strongly doubt that President Obama has Niccolo Machiavelli -or, indeed, anyone particularly close in that genetic line- back in his family tree anywhere. His mother's side does have some Swiss roots, but that seems to be about as close as the family tree gets to Italy during the Renaissance. His father's side is even more distant. Without ancestry on either side, I don't think you can really claim that he's a Machiavelli.

Oh, wait...

This guy is a U.S. senator.  There are plenty of other senators with this attitude, and some pretty derpy governors too.  These are the people who would be doing the telling.  The crazies ARE the party now.

Someone who is a radical Machiavelli would never allow his actions to lead back to him. Anyone you can accuse of being a radical Machiavelli almost definitionally cannot be.

Horowitz points to the speech Michelle Obama delivered at the 2008 Democratic convention, in which she described her husband's work as a community organizer: "Barack...spoke words that have stayed with me ever since. He talked about 'the world as it is' and 'the world as it should be.' And he said that, all too often, we accept the distance between the two and we settle for the world as it is, even when it doesn't reflect our values and aspirations." Believing he has unearthed a damning clue, Horowitz declares, "It was pitch-perfect Alinskyism."

So, help me out here... anybody who wants to make the world a better place is an evil Alinskyite and not to be trusted?
