Um, transparency?

According to Issa, releasing the full transcripts would "undermine the integrity" of the witch hunt.

Which witch hunt?

There's been so many, ya know.

Good, then let a Democrat in his committee release them. We'll see how much BS this scandal (like all Republican-generated scandals) is.

If they had just quietly released them nobody would have noticed or cared. Tell us we can't have them and it looks like you're hiding something.

Mr. Issa should start an around the world surfing expedition.

FTFA "However, your push to release entire transcripts from witness interviews while the investigation remains active was reckless and threatened to undermine the integrity of the Committee's investigation."

And if anyone knows "reckless," it's Darrel Issa.

Some junior reporter might have been forced to read them and found whatever Issa is hiding.

I'm thinking Breitbart style editing.

Darrel Issa has compromised and ruined all of these investigations due to Darrel Issa.

Saying the problem stems from the White House and the Press Secretary a paid liar is good and proper. Releasing transcripts, however, would be reckless.

Releasing quote-mined excerpts is OK, but letting it all out into the light of day is dangerous?

Unfortunately, the decision of whether or not to release Committee records is the prerogative of the Chairman.

So Issa is quote-mining the transcripts and only releasing out-of-context selections in order to bolster his agenda? Is Issa Bevets?

I'm sure a sufficiently motivated Democratic Representative could take a page from Issa's book and have them read into the Congressional Record.

I don't know how this works but you would think that at least the person providing the testimony would be entitled to a transcript of it.

a white one would be appropriate.

Summary:

Issa: Why won't they answer all the questions??!?? Something must be going on!!

Democrats: Hey why don't you release your transcripts where all those questions you say have not been answered are answered.

Issa:  umm no!

This is the same Issa that called the Obama administration "the most corrupt in history" and then asked to give an example he said he didn't have any or any proof at all.

Issa is holding a 3-8 offsuit, got creamed on the flop, eviscerated on the turn and just went all-in.

To mangle your analogy, he's all in and his partner can't even feel it.

I could get the argument that the testimony should be private in an investigation had it not been for him releasing the sections that were potentially damning to the administration. If you're worrying about tipping your hand to a potential suspect, then the LAST thing you want to release is that one of the guys said he got a file on one of the Tea Party groups and was told "Washington wants results." Instead, that's the ONLY part he released publicly? And opposition members of the committee say one of the witnesses confessed to his involvement in the decision-making process and Issa says "if we release his testimony it will taint the investigation"?

Yup.

How dare they release documents that would answer those questions! What are they hiding!

both about as useful as Anthrax.

Must control the message, after all. Next year's an election year, and if Issa actually released the transcripts of the expensive witch hunt he and his friends conducted (and at which they failed to find anything they could exploit), well, the message could very well end up "Republicans halt government and waste money grinding axes", not "TEH HILLARY IS TEH SUCK!"
