Just because the antibiotics didn't work it doesn't make acupuncture any less bullshiat. And somehow I doubt its placebo effect of works well on big cats.

Why don't we try bleeding to balance the tiger's biles? It's traditional medicine so it must be good.

Acupuncture certainly has its uses, but I don't think curing a bacterial infection is one of them, unless somehow they managed to drain an infected abcess or something by accident.

mysticcat: I can haz placebo?

Probably not. I mean, the placebo effect kinda requires expectation, no? Since I doubt the tiger understands why some jackass is poking him with needles I doubt the placebo effect would even occur.

I came here to rant, and found four comments that said everything I wanted to say (except shorter and funnier). Thanks, everyone.

If that doesn't work they should try cupping.

Cupping what? The tiger's balls?

He might like it, but I doubt it would do much for the ear infection.

I like how they  mention that the tiger was sedated for the treatment. Like, someone is going to stick long needles into an unsedated tiger?

Obviously ear candles are the way to go here.

Though throwing some chiropractors into the tiger cage could solve two stones with one feeding.
