Oh look, here is a list from the same website saying that it is one of the safest artificial sweeteners.
http://www.fitday.com/fitness-articles/nutrition/healthy-eating/4-sa fe st-artificial-sweeteners.html

I have heard that excessive consumption of artificial sweeteners affects some people with diabetes. But that is purely anecdotal. But I've heard the same thing about all artificial sweeteners.

How can Aspartic Acid and Phenylalanine which are amino acids cause blood sugar to rise?  They are both found many different food like cheese and other dairy. You probably consume more Aspartic Acid and Phenylalanine in the foods you eat than are in Aspartame. There is more Methanol in your fruit juice than you will consume in a diet soda.

Of course Phenylalanine is very dangerous to people who have PKU but since that is literally one of the first things checked when a baby is born in this country there is no surprise to the people who are effected by it. The Phenylketonuria patients know not to have Phenylalanine, but there still is a warning on everything that contains it letting people know.

Actually I prefer sucralose namely because it tastes better and I can bake an awesome sugar-free cheesecake with it.

full-fat plain (i.e. no added sugar) greek yogurt with a touch of honey or jelly (or if you're not lazy, throw some fruit in a magic bullet/food processor and cut out the added sugar in the jelly). divine.

The kind I make myself in a slow cooker.  It's really not that hard (Heat milk up to X temperature, let it cool to Y temperature, mix in some pre-existing yogurt, leave it overnight).  Get some good milk that you trust the ingredients of and have at it.

I eat a lot of yogurt. I go will plain full fat yogurt. If you get the fat free stuff there is usually a bunch of sugar added. Sugar is what makes you fat, more so than actual fat in food. I usually add some homemade granola.

Why does the article say "5 Reasons" and yet I count at least 8 just by reading the headlines?

/ I am just so confused right now.

Because People in power are Stupid: The FDA can be bought out.

Example 1:  http://www.feingold.org/PF/pf_stevia.html

just last night i commented to Mrs.Kritter how we'll never see stevia replace sweetener in USA sodas because the wealthy powerful families who own sugar plantations also own a chunk of the government.

Sugar plantations?  This is America, son, our racket is high fructose corn syrup.  The corn lobby is a thousand times more powerful than any sort of sugarcane lobby.
