Right now Tiago Splitter looks like Jon Favreau in Swingers after Ron Livingston had to come to his apartment to check on him.

That all depends on who is reffing tonight. But my money is on the Spurs. They take 2 of 3 at home

Spurs are done even though they have home court advantage?

2013-06-11 07:03:38 PM
This is why I hate the 2-3-2. Spurs need to win three in a row to take advantage of home court. What's wrong with the 2-2-2-1? Even if Miami plays Portland (I think the furthest possible Finals), with the luxurious chartered flights they have these days, is the extra plane trip that big a deal?

2013-06-11 07:05:14 PM
Spurs in 6. They win two at home and finish it in game 6.

/they better, because they won't win Game 7 in Miami in front of the best fans in the...haha can't even finish it...but seriously Spurs in 6
//but Heat if it goes 7

Um, the only way your cunning plan works is if the last game takes place at the away team site.

Tey always want game 7 to be a home game for the higher seeded team.

Personally, I like 2-2-1-1-1 although it would mean spacing out the last three games by an additional day.

So you want the team with the better record to have to play game 7 on the road?

2-2-1-1-1 is the right way to do things.

Palmer Eldritch: What's wrong with the 2-2-2-1?

It gives the team with home field advantage 4 games at home out of the first 6 games.  That's too much of an advantage.  2-2-1-1-1 is really the best.

2013-06-11 07:16:42 PM
Personally, I think it should be 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 and another 1 at neutral site in the event of just because.

/Go Spurs!

Is it too soon to call the Spurs done?

Is that the dumbest question in the history of sports? They took one from the Heat in Miami. Now they just have to hold serve at home.

All of those questions were pretty dumb, but that was the worst.

The series is tied at 1-1.

Not to mention the game isn't tipping till 9ET. So, good job good effort I guess.

Yes, I am dumb, I meant 2-2-1-1-1. So two extra plane flights. Still not a big deal.

2013-06-11 07:39:57 PM
fark it, make it best of 6, and if it's tied at 3 a piece, just drop the trophy and let'em fight.

Or make it a ONE GAME SERIES.

OR A NINETEEN GAME SERIES

/ The NBA ... its FLOPTASTIC

Spurs stole home court, but I do think there's cause for concern. Game 1 was down to the wire and Game 2 a blowout, and in neither game did LeBron look particularly devastating, at least on the offensive end. Much has been made about LeBron making it a point to try and get Wade and Bosh going early, but I could see him coming out tonight intent on just dropping the hammer. Get the crowd out of it early and try to get the series advantage back, put the pressure on the Spurs to have to win 2 straight just to stay alive.

2013-06-11 07:51:09 PM
I think it should be 2-2-1-1-1.

Game 1,2 on consecutive nights
2 days rest
Game 3,4 on consecutive nights
Travel day
Game 5
Travel day
Game 6
Travel day
Game 7

The spacing of games in the NBA playoffs is turrble now. With all the rest between games it favors older teams with a 'big 3' or similar lineup, and no incentive for clubs to utilize bench or team play.

Which game will have more flopping, this one or the Mexico/Costa Rica game?

PowerSlacker: Why not 3-3-1 for the Finals?

Because you are letting the home team get too close to winning it all with that kind of advantage. You're talking about the two best teams in the league and you're putting one behind the eight ball from the get-go.

Now 3-3-1 for the first round? Now you're talking.

Has there even been a flop in this series? Or is it just like everything else on Fark and once the idiots are convinced something is funny it comes up in every discussion regardless of applicability?

Sorry, 'Bron Bron has tied that to himself.   Like it or not, he admitted its a viable strategy.   And he's going to get some sh*t for what he did against Indiana, again, like it or not.

I understand ESPN and ABC are part of the same company, but I really don't need baseball scores on the bottom line.
