Booker already turned out the lights while running out of a burning building holding two babies and a litter of puppies.

I heard that Cory Booker can flip the switch, then be in bed before the lights go out.

This is not surprising. It's the same reason that Hillary was elected in 2008. Her lead in the polls and the funding was insurmountable from day one.

He is not losing a 40 point lead in 2 months to split opposition. Booker's approval ratings among New Jersey Democrats are very very high, not enough time to bring it down.

Am I the only one who thinks Cory Booker looks, well, a little insane?

In not quite every photo I see of the guy, he seems to have something of a "crazy eyes" thing going on.

Really
On Meet the Press, Booker called criticizing Romney's time at Bain "ridiculous" and "nauseating." He also equated criticisms of Romney's buisness record with racially charged attacks against Obama centered around Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

Yes really.  His point was not that Bain is necessarily awesome, but that the criticisms were wrong-headed and bad for America, in a Jon Stewart-esque kind of way.

You know Jon Stewart isn't the end all and be all of the world, his 'I disagree with you but I don't think you are Hitler'  crap only works if the person you are talking with isn't Hitler or Stalin or wishing to emulate them, and there are people like that in the US.

He has nothing to lose in his Senate run, same with Pallone.

Both are good choices, problem I have with Pallone is he wants to carry on a legacy. Rush always has ideas. Fresh ones.

Handouts in this day and age? Save a tree and all that, power point, email or maybe have a downloadable ebook.

Are you saying that there is no one today who is seems to be using the same techniques as Julius Streicher some of the   anti-marriage equality stuff seems similar.

The problem is, one attack is about a skin color, the other is about a managing style.  And while skin color has no indication of style of governace, managing style has a huge indication.  Especially since Romney himself consistently says he wants to run government like a business. Well, isn't it in-bounds to investigate just how he runs a business?

Than he should not seek higher office until he actually DOES SOMETHING. Giuliani, even though I am not a fan of his, actually did turn around New York. Why can't Cory Booker turn around Newark? And if he can't do it, why should New Jersey elect him into higher office?

You realize that's obvious, ridiculous circular logic? You're just setting an arbitrary point so you can say he hasn't reached it.

By Newark standards, it -is- a success. Simply having a mayor and leadership team that doesn't steal everything that isn't nailed down is an enormous leap forward for Newark. When you've had pretty much continuous corruption at the top ever since the end of WWII, a team like Booker's is a godsend no matter what ideology they follow.

I just don't think he's sticking around long enough to permanently affect the culture, though.

He had over 5 years to implement his ideas or policies in Newark. I look for results not political rhetoric. So far Newark is still a sh*athole, maintaining sh*athole status doesn't sound like an astounding accomplishment. Anyone could do that.

Other than he gets himself good PR, I don't understand what he as actually done. And to be fair, that your record should matter when seeking any sort of higher office.

So he was only Mayor of Newark until something better comes around. We need to stop electing/supporting revolving door politicians who only want a higher office. Also not stealing public funds should not be the only requirement for senator, I am sick of setting the bar so low that any retard can just walk over it.

Cory Booker got himself elected Mayor of Newark, re-arranges the deck chairs on the Titanic and now he believes that qualifies him to run for a US Senate Seat.

So where is Cory's 5 year plan? Was rising crime rates part of that plan? If so, he is doing a great job at that.
