It was a case of collateral damage.  In the first few seconds, you can clearly see a truck pulling the skinned corpses of the Ent's brethren on a trailer.  The car in the video unwisely proceeded into Ent territory, and an excitable Young One (probably not even 2 centuries old yet) with an itchy trigger branch attacked too soon, not waiting for the real target.  It was only the Young One's inexperience that saved the driver's life.  A fully-fledged Ent, acting in anger, would surely have destroyed the hapless vehicle and its occupants.
