Obamacare will let you stay on your parents' insurance until you're 38. Or until you grow up, move out of the house and get a real job, whichever comes first.

It was designed to destroy the health INSURANCE market and it is doing just that.
I'm sure that the DemonRatz are deliriously happy with the plan.
No 'Rat wanted to take over health CARE, that requires work and knowledge. By taking over the insurance market, they control without having to get their hands dirty.

That's the big problems with the bill from a political perspective: it is made of numerous interlocking parts, and for every group that has to pay for the program there is something elsewhere in the bill meant to benefit that group. I don't doubt for a second that there will be some perverse incentives as a result of the bill that will need to be ironed out, but any analysis of the bill that treats it as a direct wealth transfer from group X to group Y is overly simplistic.

The rule of thumb I've seen is having enough money saved that you can cover a few months of your expenses if you lost your job and had no money coming in. Given that about 25% of Americans have absolutely no savings whatsoever, that's a pretty high bar to jump over.

Obama, even BEFORE he was 1st Elected fir his 1st Term, created and formed groups like ACORN that were found to be guilty of Voter Fraud. Since the day he became the U.S. President he created an Environment of Fear, Intimidation and Corruption in the White House and still fully supports that Environment. He has encouraged and supported his Cabinet to ignore Laws they didn't like and Lie as often as necessary if it supported Obama's Agenda.  Obama himself has been caught ignoring and using Federal Laws and the U.S. Constitution as a floor mat to wipe his feet when it did not meet his agenda. The "more recent" Obama supported scandals cost the lives of 4 Americans and Obama wants to "promote" one of his co-conspirators in the Benghazi scandal and Ms. Lerner from the I.R.S. scandal have been placed in charge of the "forced upon Legal Citizens" ObamaCare. Obams is a danger and continuing threat to the U.S.A. and needs removed from office. IMPEACH OBAMA NOW!

FTA - This is mostly good news for young people having access to affordable, comprehensive health care

You can divide a $120 cheeseburger into 12 $10 payments and pretend you made it "affordable"....I don't really have much of a point, just thought this "affordable" stuff is a bit of nonsense when discussing healthcare.  We want the best, we want it now, and if we can get someone else to pay for it, that's even better.

Nonsense. It provides a way to spread around risk, and ration health care.

It's very bad at doing those things, and ridiculously expensive, but it does add some value.

Imagine tomorrow there were no health insurance policies, at all. Do you really think there would be no change in people's health if they suddenly had to pay everything out of pocket?  The very reason single-payer is better than private insurance is the same reason that private insurance is better than nothing at all.

The ones who really lose out in this scheme aren't affluent twenty-something bros who will face higher insurance rates, but the people who live near or below the poverty line in states that refuse to expand Medicaid.

This isn't really possible. There has to be a zero sum, and the entire benefit of Obamacare to the people it helps cannot be accounted for by only looking at the losses of those who live near the poverty line in a handful of states. You can't have a system where everyone is paying in less and yet the same amount of money is coming in. If we are going to have to subsidize the health insurance of wealthy old people and women by eliminating all actuarial science from the industry, then young people and men have to make up the difference.
