I like that song, but it's certainly not the best of the last twenty years.

Whiny Beatles wannabee douchebags singing nonsensical lyrics, that's the best we produced in the last 2 decades?

How many bumper stickers for bands do you have on the back of your car?

I have no bumper stickers for anything.  You really should hear it, it's an excellent album.

Hearing that song today actually made the other songs I listened to worse.

Admittedly, I have seen Oasis in concert.  They were good, but it was not remotely close to being one of the best concerts I've attended.

To put this in perspective... When your band plays the final encore song and the entire crowd knows the song you're going to play, your band isn't that great.

Uh, that's the opposite of reality.

Whole list sucked. Song after song by bands no one has heard of, other than the SO's of the bands in question and hipster rock writers for obscure weekly alternative newspapers.

Most of those aren't even particularly good songs. They might be great records, but that ain't necessarily the same thing. I love Breathe, but it's really a great production/performance. Get someone with just a piano to play Teardrop, Born Slippy, Breathe or Song 2 and see how it sounds.

Wonderwall is actually a good song, but Common People kicks its arse. And my favourite Oasis song is She's Electric.

Everyone knows that this Oasis song is BS.

The real best song of the last 20 years is Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day.

#39 Nirvana -Heart Shaped Box    That song is at least top 5.  Triple J, more like Triple Ghey!/NTTATWWT

It's Butterflies by the long gone band Butterflies.  You can get it on CD from Amazon for a penny (plus s&h, so like three bucks).  It's just a very solid album from beginning to end.  Here's a link. The used copy I got was in mint condition.

Awesome. Thanks for that! I'll check it out.

actually, the encore is when most bands play their best known hit, because if they play it first, you will lose the good 40 percent of the crowd that are there ONLY to hear that one song.

Wilco - Jesus Etc and have people actually listened to the Beatles?

I have no problem with Wonderwall @ #1, but Closer, Lose Yourself, Hey Ya!, & Intergalactic should have been a hell of a lot higher.

That's good. I prefer Don't Look Back In Anger, personally. Wonderwall is maybe the 6th best song on that album.

I seem to recall, not that long ago, that the BBC or the Sun or something did a poll of the best British album of all time, and Oasis's Definitely Maybe won - beating out Sgt Pepper's, Dark Side of the Moon, and Sticky Fingers.

Yeah, here's the link: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/5037792.stm

WTF?

sometimes old albums are a bit over-rated?

/Sgt. Pepper aged horribly, Dark Side just kinda is what it is, a product of its time (kinda like Watching Citizen Kane), and Stick Fingers is just mostly poorly sung forgettable rock.

//oasis suck
