I will volunteer. I am not a billionaire asexual pedophile, but I am willing to learn.

This trial will end up getting racial, just like the O.J. Simpson trial. Sadly, I don't think it is possible to have a high-profile trial concerning a black man without the outcome ultimately being determined based on race.

I can hear Johnny Cochran now: "If the dick doesn't fit, you must acquit"

"Blacks still tend to regard him as a hero," he said. "Whites look at him as a weirdo."

I can't quite believe I've just read that statement. This man should not be allowed to practise as an attorney....

Take a piece of creosote soaked wood and stand it up in the water at Neverland Ranch. Now whitewash it. What do you have?

One of Michael Jackson's piers Get 12 of them and you'll have a jury.

(Don't blame me, blame the cold medicine and lack of sleep)

"asexual pedophile" is an oxymoron right?

2004-01-05 11:58:44 AM
OJ wasn't found not guilty because of race. He was found not guilty because the prosecution did a shiatty farkin' job. It's that simple. Guilty or not guilty, based on what happened in that trial and our legal system, he deserved to walk.

2004-01-05 11:58:45 AM
I shudder to think what would happen to him if convicted (which would coincidentally fall on the same day that Lucifer has to shovel the walk and spread a salt/sand mixture) and sent to an actual prison (as they used to say in the 80's, don't make me laugh).

2004-01-05 11:59:14 AM
I am sure however, that there is no shortage of

"Scary looking, white women, who are at least bisexual or wear comfortable shoes; or drag queens" who could potentially round out the juror pool.

It will at least make for good TV in sweeps week. Reality TV has nothing on what we are about to witness............

Funniest headline I've read in a long time.

I found it hard to find 12 - 2,000 yards rushing in a season murderers for the O.J. Trial. I guess that's why he got off.

For Jackson, the problem is compounded by the lack of blacks in Santa Maria, where his case would be tried. Census figures show blacks represent just 2.3 percent of Santa Barbara County's population.

I don't get the problem. Jackson is a middle-aged white woman, right?

2004-01-05 12:00:13 PM
Well what we could do is, with the help of MTV's The Real World, a Santa Barbara mansion could be rented, then you move in a lot of black people (at least 12), and then we could fast track them into county residency, and they can be the jury!

Tim's right, this is still America, where the government cannot rush to judge. Individuals do have a 1st Amd. right to talk shiat about anybody they want.

found him very interesting and giving.

Yes but giving alcohol and your penis to a 12 year old is still looked down upon.

Innocent until proven guilty is only required in the legal system. In society it's reversed.

I think he is so off the wall he may actually be able to claim a victory in the end. The indictment may be so flimsy he could beat it. It would send a bad message even dangerous predators can skate. Even if he does get off he will have to face the man in the mirror every day.

2004-01-05 12:04:41 PM
What exactly is the evidence that he molested those kids? Just because he was alone with them and he's a wierdo doesn't mean he did anything more than tuck them in. Is there DNA evidence? Can the kids describe his striped black and white peepee? I haven't heard anything about any substantial evidence. . .

Didn't they already pull the race card? This was their backup plan?

"Blacks still look at him as a hero..."

Oh? Perhaps those with a HUGE racial chip on their shoulders, but those that I know (which is a lot) and those of any kind of real religious faith (of which I have little) think he is truly evil.

"Blacks still tend to regard him as a hero," he said. "Whites look at him as a weirdo."

Maybe west coast black's think of him as a hero. The black folks I know here in SC think hes freaky too. In fact I know one who claims its hanging out W the white weirdos in Hollywood that made him weird.

Tim,

I cannot stand the rush to judgement on Michael Jackson. I believe this is still America, right? I have worked with Michael and his entourage several times while at Disney and found him very interesting and giving. Talented people must endure the slings and arrows of the untalented - this is a familiar pain for me and other people who are in the biz - I guess I'll have to learn to deal with it as Michael has.

I have no clue whether or not Mikey abused those kids. Only the kids and him really know.

I do know, however, that he is guilty of the worst judgment I've ever seen. If you have a nation-wide reputation, baseless or not, for being a pedophile, you DO NOT have little kids sleep with you in your bedroom at night.

For this bad judgment, he should be locked away.

P.S.- Michael ceased being talented long ago.

"For Jackson, the problem is compounded by the lack of blacks in Santa Maria, where his case would be tried. Census figures show blacks represent just 2.3 percent of Santa Barbara County's population."

Maybe he was just trying to integrate the county?

2004-01-05 12:05:52 PM
Luckily, the media has already offered to try him themselves, thereby saving the legal system all this hassle.

2004-01-05 12:05:55 PM
look, he's guilty, okay? how can people continue to proclaim him innocent? he had a farked up childhood, and has gone to great lengths to trumpet his weirdness the world over. Have you ever seen his fans?

You have to use HTML {b}{/b}{i}{/i} or {u} {/u} (Replace {and } with the greater than and less than signs )

When the verdict is handed in, the duel possible headlines should be funny:

Not Guilty: Beat it

Guilty: Smooth Criminal

Precisely. Regardless of what he did, he has not behanved like an innocent man (let's face it- he hasn't behaved anything like a man).

You sure as fark don't admit to sleeping with them on television. It's kind of a Dixie Chicks type case. Think and believe what you want, but exercise a little better PR.

for a lesson in shameless self promotion, view Tim Klien's bio. idealism and egomania at it's best...

as for MJ, his brain is mush. He said on 60 minutes that he was raised this way. i wonder how many adults he shared a bed with when he was a kid...

For all of you who learned about the constitution from TV,
you do NOT have the RIGHT to JURY of your peers.
You have the right to an IMPARTIAL jury.

I just wished that they had excluded MORONS from serving on jury duty.

OJ's jury was not impartial.
They were a bunch of morons who had already decided that he was not-guilty.

Amendment VI
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.
