It's all part of the New World Order plot, devised in 1988 by George H.W. Bush and continued by every President since. By 2016 the U.N. will be forcing you from your home to the labor camps, and moving in a poor Ecuadoran family in your place.

You know how we know Limbaugh likes that formulation? Because he's said Obama has been leading a coup so many times.

cameroncrazy1984: Rush Limbaugh is still convinced he's relevant.

to his remaining followers, yes.  but that's a shrinking pool of voters at best.  plus Rush is bleeding money and advertisers like nobody's bidness.  in that respect, Limbaugh is trapped - he needs to generate ratings, keep people listening.  the only way to do that is to ramp up the crazy and hope people still listen.

FTFA: Dean Chambers, of Unskewed Polls fame, agrees with Limbaugh, and adds one more piece of data -- "all the tricks and dirty tactics Obama used to be elected in 2008 and reelected last year." He concludes, "That's right lefties, your beloved president Obama was SELECTED, not elected. Selected by the left, put in office by non-violent coup."However, Obama is the democratically-elected leader of the état in question.

Limbaugh is trapped.  He knows he has to keep ramping it up to keep his followers glued in place, but there's only so much he can do before he tops out and hits his maximum bullshiat limit.

No way. Rush will be bloviating and ranting as long as there is a dollar to be made. While his audience is shrinking, he's still making money. Which is very sad

I think he is making money because of that ridiculous contract, but what if his syndicator pulls out? That's part of the reason I put "retired" in quotes. He may be gently nudged to retirement if the syndicator starts going south.

Meh. I remember toward the end of Bush's term, when people said the very same thing, and meant it as sincerely as Limbaugh claims to now. It didn't happen then, and it won't happen now. Bush was misguided, but he was not malevolent, and Obama is the same as far as this goes (though the ways in which he's misguided obviously differ).

More like dividing by zero.

A takeover of the government, BY the government, to advance their sinister governmental policies? So in other words....they're acting more like a....government?

Rush Limbaugh is the intellectual father of modern conservatism (Ayn Rand is its mother). Republican politicians know they have to bow and kiss his royal pinky ring to apologize to him if they offend His Graciousness.

So my question is: can you identify any figure of similar prominence to the American left who said Bush was planning a coup?

If you can't, then take your false equivalency, and shove up your ass.
