Whoever is behind this site is an idiot.

A bad rip-off of Ain't It Cool News? With only one idiot as a reviewer? (As opposed to the dozen idiots on the other site.)

I enjoyed the first one, it was a trip back to the action films of the 80's. The second one was ok, had a bit more plot but ultimately fell a little flat. I can't imagine the third one being any better. One thing 'The Expendables' has going for it is that it's quickly reaching 80s sequel status.

And I like Gibson. I have a soft spot for 'Mad Max'. If Alec Baldwin can come back from his meltdowns, I don't see why Gibson can't.

I wonder what Chuck and his no swearing policy think of this.

One of the problems with the Expendables is that the Fast & Furious series found a way to update their formula, and they do it better.

Yeah, Gibson don't like Jews, but that son of a biatch knows story structure.

/And who doesn't hate the Jews now and again?

So Mel and the expendables will be taking on the Israeli defense force?

I'd pay good money (not really) to see him call a character "Sugartits".

1980 Olympic hockey team should be in that movie.

Listening to Gibson scream, "I hope you get raped by a pack of attractive and successful African-Americans" is what did me in.  The man is an abusive, racist piece of sh*t, and I never need to see him on screen again.

Gibson is an anti-Semite, misogynist psychopath in desperate need of psychiatric care, but he's a very good director/producer.  Even Jesus Chainsaw Massacre ... no denying that it wasn't well done for what it was.  People can change and I hope he does.

May not be as bad as he appears.  He did have a lot of backing from all of the categories that he supposedly hates, people that actually knew him. Women, blacks, as well as jews(and some various mixtures) have, if not stood by his side, feel bad for his problems but don't hold those phrases against him.

I think there's room for elderly people(he's close enough to qualify) like that, in that they grew up with some terminology that just does not fly today.  They don't mean much by it but are incapable of keeping their traps shut. Can't teach an old dog new tricks.

Take any guy from Detroit or any given 'hood from 20-30 years ago or more, and put him in a different modern liberal and polite society and there's bound to be some harsh phrases said, especially when alcohol or other emotional turmoil is involved.

A lot has changed since Mel was in his prime, it may be that the world passed him by.  Maybe.

Not being an apologist here, but it does happen, I see a lot of people who are shifted into a different environment as such and their mouth is always on the verge of getting them into trouble.  But to instantly hate him seems a tad prejudice in the exact same manner that you're condemning him for.

You're allowed, it's the internet after all, and fark to boot, so there's no rule against you shooting your mouth off with a hate filled post.  But it's still just as ugly to others as Mel is to you.

Saying "colored" or "Oriental" is maybe just outdated. Saying "Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world" is just bigotry beyond any mistake.

This comment is not going to go well but there is a Jewish cabal if you will that does hold a lot of power in Hollywood. Gibson might have some resentment towards that. He does now have to finance his own films now afterall. The raped by a pack of N-words though I can't defend. The guy can direct  a film though, even if most of his movies involve torture and/or rape.

I don't think Mel Gibson is any more hateful than most/many other guys. You look at the people who count him as a friend, not just the bile that he spews out under stress, and it's more complicated than the labels. He's got diarrhea of the mouth in a really bad way, though.

Plus, there's way worse directors out there. It was a shame the "Maccabee" thing didn't work out, but "Berserker" sounds like it's right in his wheelhouse.

/You know, with the Vikings being such an inspiration to some of the biggest Jew-haters in history, and all that. (Big smile! Big smile!)

I saw this the first time. The gist is that dinosaurs kill people. It was called "Jurassic Park."

If I recall correctly Gibson's father was big into some really hardcore fringe sect of the Catholic Church. I think Mel has been more than a little brainwashed and when his life started to fall apart he fell into the old trappings. I'm not excusing him (although from a comedian's standpoint I love when he loses his shiat) but I can see the germination of it. I know my father fought hard to not let growing up in Baltimore in the 50s and 60s totally color his worldview but when he loses his temper he will say some really offensive stuff. It's tough to break out of that kind of programming.
