There is nothing in the entirety of that book that even approaches the batshiat crazy of any random half-page of the Bible.

There are a lot of mediocre churchgoers. They are entitled to a little representation, aren't they, by their pastors? We can't have all Machens, Niebuhrs, Barths.

I think the proper term would be Xenophillia.  Sex with aliens.  It has nothing at all to do with evolution, as no offspring could possibly occur. (Spock's parents used magic)

Nothing wrong with it, as long as there aren't unpleasant side effects.  Unless you're a fundy freak against all sex that doesn't produce a baby.

Star Wars novels have touched on the subject on occasion.  Gavin Darklighter had a long term relationship with a Bothan, until a Bothan political figure leaned on her.  And Coran Horn talked about a one night fling with a woman with short, black fur all over her body.  Sex was excellent, but she was bothered by his sweat acids, and he was allergic to her fur, so the next day, they both felt sunburned all over.

Huh. Just yesterday I saw a video on YouTube where an atheist used a pastor's argument that Pokemon are tools of the devil to ridicule a feminist that says Mario is promoting the patriarchy by highlighting female weakness, because he has to save the princess all the time. The underlying basis of the backlash to the FeministFrequency videos is "if you go looking for shiat, you'll more often than not find it." And just like the pastor was looking for Satanism in Pokemon, Anita Sarkeesian was looking for the patriarchy in Super Mario Bros.  So, I say unto you...was this pastor actively looking for bestiality in Star Trek?

Well they can't even manage to read and understand the Bible - which they are supposed to study their whole lives. Expecting them to have a clue about the entire rest of reality is just asking way too much of them.

"That's how you get evolution, and so the end result of course is that evolution has no basic problem with bestiality or cross-species mating."

"The whole premise of this is that within an evolutionary construct there is no real problem with speciation and cross-species mating, there's no problem with that at all, in fact that's how you evolve, that's how you get evolution, and so the end result of course is that evolution has no basic problem with bestiality or cross-species mating,"

Inaccuracies and dumb shiat aside...Isn't he admitting here that evolution is real but he just takes issue with the "fact that it "has no problem with" things he doesn't like?

I realize the answer is no, and that he is under the delusion that evolution is a belief system and not science.

I think "butthurt feminist" would be the more correct term for the author if that garbage.

2013-06-08 07:04:23 AM
Well, they are partially correct in one respect.  (work with me here)

He is somewhat saying that species are different.  That's what makes them species, d'uh.  And if one species mates with another species, a hybrid will be the result.  That's how species evolve.

Well...  That's gotta be somewhat true.  The only thing he is missing is the mutation factor.  That's what actually starts the process.

In other words, you start with two beings that are the same species.  They produce an offspring that has a mutation.  That mutation may not be enough to make it a new species.  But through subsequent matings down the line, a new species comes about.  I've actually read Darwin's famous book, and the entire first half pretty much talks about how humans have purposely done this sort of thing to other animals, for our own utility, since time out of mind.  Although, he only took it as far as breeds, not species.

An atheist butthurt feminist still qualifies as an atheist, just as the atheist racist scumbags mentioned above are still atheists.

For the record, hybrids exist all over the Star Trek universe.  Human/Klingon, Vulcan/human, etc...

This was more or less explained in a TNG episode where it was discovered that DNA from a 4 billion year old race, that was dying out, was put into the primordial soup of a shiatload of planets around the galaxy.  This is what caused all of those planets to evolve humanoid races.  So in effect, all the humanoid races in the galaxy are related.  Therefore, they could almost certainly crossbreed successfully.  And to the credit of Belana Torez and Spock, just to name two, apparently they have.

So Ray Comfort was wrong about the banana being an atheist's worst enemy.

Yes, but neither is saying what they are because they are atheists. Atheism is not the driving force behind their irrational beliefs.
