This is so frustrating.  For the past two months I have been trying to buy this guy's baseball cards at every card store around me.  All said that they'd never heard of him and that he wouldn't have a card until he reached the majors.  Now that he's made such a splash, the prices of those cards will be through the roof.  I'm too late..

/Haven't bought a baseball card since I was a kid
//Saw him for one (ONE!) at bat during Spring Training and knew he was something special.
///If I could only pick stocks as well...

Must be some pretty incompetent people if they couldn't look in the rookie cards to find him, you know they separate the rookie cards from the rest. Or more likely is that they didn't want to sell off any of their rookie cards so soon and wanted to wait to see if any created a buzz so that they could get more money for them.

BKITU: It's the majors. His weaknesses will be identified and exploited soon enough.

No. He's going to hit 2000 homers.

No love for journeymen like Larry Cox or Rusty Kuntz?

Deece: Arkanaut: He has replaced Yorvit Torrealba on top of my "funny major leaguer names" list.

Your list fails without Archi Cianfrocco at the top.

Only major leaguer ever from the town in which I grew up!

Yet no one has mentioned his putouts. His walk-off DP from the warning track is enough for the SCARY tag...

It's cute when Dodger fans have something to be excited about.
