Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany called in to EW Radio before the BBC America clone drama's season finale to chat with Jessica Shaw and me about playing seven different distinctive characters

Have I lost the ability to count or is this a spoiler for the finale?

I guess it's my own fault for not watching it promptly.

Meh Carl on the farm yes. Carl now? No. He is pretty much a badass now.

What has always been scary to me about zombies is when it is HIGHLY infectious. Getting just a little zombie blood in your eye, mouth, a cut or eating/drinking something with zombie germs. That to me is scary. It seems like you can avoid being bitten fairly easy, but blood spray? Having to change your clothes and decontaminate?

We know that in Walking Dead World, infection absent biting isn't possible from the episode where some of the humans drenched themselves in zombie blood so they wouldn't smell human whilst infiltrating (or were they exfiltrating? I forget) past zombies. If exposure to blood was going to do the job, it would have been then. Not to mention that every so often a zombie killing gets extremely messy and splatters everyone nearby with a ton of blood and gobbets of zombie.

I'm sick of spoiler alert nazis. If you don't care enough about the show to have not watched something that has been available for weeks, then you don't care enough to not have it spoiled. Stop whining.

Yeah, that's a bit of a spoiler, but if you saw the episode before that you can probably guess what it is.

It was established very early on in the series that everyone is already infected. The zombie virus is actually airborne.

Anyone who dies of any cause reanimates into a zombie in a short period of time. The only way to prevent this is to destroy their brainssssssss.

So take routine walkers and add body armor plus some stuff that makes them more effective, like remote-triggered tear gas dispensers

I like the way the survivors do what humans would really do, turn the mindless biters into tools like pack animals or directed weapons.  Clever people adapt their environment to serve their own purposes.

Personally, I'd put them on an enclosed treadmill with a bunny in a cage in front and generate some air conditioning if I found myself in Georgia during the zombie apocalypse.

Maybe the zombies will drive 2014 Hyundais. After how last half season went though, I just wish they'd all die and that crap with the governor at the end was retarded. Michonne is really annoying though, her complete inarticulateness is maddening. At least in the comic, she knew how to express herself and still remained as a loner more or less. On theshowshe is like an upset melodramatic child.

However, it is likely that the constant exposure to zombie blood and guts is what infected everyone with the zombie virus so that anyone who dies turns. Remember, at the start of the series that wasn't the standard modus operandi. When Rick awoke there were dead bodies everywhere and they died as humans, not as zombies.

2013-06-07 01:10:34 AM
And just how are they going to make the zombies "even more terrifying"? All they have been up to date have been cannibalistic retards.

Show us a zombie that "came back" with his mental faculties still intact, but still has an insatiable hunger. Now THAT would be scary.

They just filmed several scenes here in Griffin, Georgia.
The pictures you may have seen online of the tent set are probably mine.

I also got pictures of five of the main cast when they were filming and while they were in rehearsal.
In addition, I have pictures of walkers on the roof of the "Big Spot" grocery store, converted from a former Wal-Mart building here in town.

I plan to post some of the pictures of filming in a few weeks, once rumbling of Season 4 starts up a little stronger. They're filming in nearby Senoia right now.

Not really a spoiler, but here's what "we", "we" being the crowd watching from the side and from across the street, saw:

- The group pulls into a deserted parking lot
- They find a series of military tents surrounded by fencing
- They enter the area of the tents through a hole in the fence and examine one of the tents
- They go up to the entrance of the store, which is only accessible through the hole cut in the fence that the group originally entered
-  They toss a tennis ball into the store to distract walkers
- They enter the store

No idea why they were examining the store, whether it was for goods or the tents got their attention.
If you examine the pictures posted to flickr you can see the military vehicles parked nearby.

At one point, they're either on the roof, or they are shooting inside the store. "We" heard gunshots.
The crane focuses on a walker wearing a red, blood-clad shirt, and then pans down to the entrance, was one of the shots we watched.

Could not see if the main actors were on the roof, though. Just that there were at least seven, possibly as many as ten, walkers on the roof of the building. And the "gunshots" were clearly audible.

"We" had a consensus that this is probably a scene that opens an episode. Nobody would or could confirm when or where, obviously, but with what I described above, "we" believed it to be an opening that would last as long as two to two-and-a-half minutes.
