I'm in Augusta, GA. I'll bring them to you.

This would be so much better if it said people.

They'll be ok. They just need to make sure they stick with a black gang for protection.

2013-06-06 12:40:22 PM
Well Satan does need some sacrifices, but you're pretty far from Ohio. . .

2013-06-06 12:42:07 PM
Maybe you should have thought about that before you got pets and decided they were too much of a responsibility.

My wife has been talking about getting a cat. EIP and all that. Maybe she'll want these two.

2013-06-06 12:47:41 PM
Oh, I know.  They can live with you.  Because they're yours.

2013-06-06 12:49:03 PM
Wait until the week before Halloween to offer them up.

2013-06-06 12:49:38 PM
Paint a white stripe on their backs and sell them as exotic pets.  Scent glands removed.

i, for one, read your last thread and know you are not a horrible person, fake person, etc. person. if all else fails i will take your cats and give them a good home. eip.

I know I'm one of the least respected commenters here, but seriously, I have had enough. My wife and I got a job overseas and can't take our cats to the housing provided by our employer, and aren't sure how they'd handle flying and airports for 24 hours each way, or 115 degree temperatures. We didn't just get bored of them, throw them in a paper bag and toss them into the middle of a highway. The cats are the only thing that almost got me to reject the job offer.

You could send them to Australia where they can grow up feral and able to tackle and kill a small man or large child.  Link on mainpage.

You're trying elsewhere outside TFD, right?

You might want to give some DIT or post a comment with a link to the first thread, just in case there are those who didn't see that or know why you need to re-home your cats.

Whatever you do, don't take a picture of them with a sign saying 'Free Cats' and post it here...

I am a pretty horrible person on Fark, usually. They have a decent amount of history from which to draw their conclusions. My cats, however, usually don't use Fark that much. I e-mailed KingKauff, I'll get with you if something doesn't work out.

I'd recommend taking a picture of them, in front of a sign saying "Free Cats" or "Free the Black Panther Party"

I feel like this is the response I would get if I actually needed help from TFD, too. Don't feel too bad. Good luck with your cats.

That seems like a better excuse than "I couldn't find an apartment where I could keep my cats"

When I moved from Vegas back here, I flew the cat back separately.  Had to jump through a bunch of hoops and the temps at both airports had to be within a certain range.  But honestly, it wasn't too bad.  Just drugged kitty up before he went on the flight and he was fine.  I guess you have to ask if the cats will be better off being traumatized for 24 hours or if you can't find a new home... for the rest of their short lives in a shelter.

I'll try to be a little more clear about why we can't keep them. My wife and I took jobs at a private school in Kuwait that provides our housing. It's not that we couldn't find an apartment that allowed cats; we are provided the apartment by our employer. On the salary we are taking, mew couldn't afford an apartment there on our own.

Even if we could have pets at the apartment, temperatures in the country would make summer travel (necessary for teachers), prohibitively dangerous for the cats, with average temperatures over 115.

I wish I could take them, I'm very sad that I can't. I'm more sad about this than moving away from my parents, whom live in the same neighborhood and see us very frequently. They're like my other children.

Don't rely solely on me. I have to get approval from the boss/warden/wife. Email other people as well. Of course, I've got Third In Line already talking me up on FB about it, so......

I'm confused. Are you giving away your parents or your cats? Parents have no resale value.

I've never thought much of you, but your standing with me has risen a great deal for your willingness to come in here and take the scorn for the good of the kitties.  We already have 3 rescues and can't handle any more, but wish you and yours the best.

female. Spayed. Not declawed. Can go inside or outside. Like sleeping on top of humans.

Strange that you should post this today. I have 5 cats, two of which I need to find new forever homes for, they're both black one year old unfixed females. I also desperately need to find foster care fore a cpl of months for the remaining three while I get my situation sorted. I lost my apartment due to bad roommates and work hasn't been very forthcoming with hours. I've got a 2 month stint coming up where I'll make lots of money, but that doesn't starty til 4 days after I have to be out of here. My parents are happy to take ME in, but my dad is allergic to cats and my mom just doesn't like them. My life sucks right now :(

I don't know why you're assuming that. Why don't you ask the cats what they want to do if that situation arises. Here's somebody that can help facilitate the dialogue:

How are they with dogs? We've got 2 cats in the house and an bit of a spastic terrier. He's fine with the cats (aside from occasionally jamming his nose in the cats' asses). The fact that they're black and like to lie on humans is a plus. Difficulty: I live in Connecticut. EIP, but I will have to speak with the boss of the household regarding this.

I hope that you can find someone to take them, but if you can't at least think about euthanasia.  It seems to me that a painless quick ending surrounded by the people they love is better than the alternative of living in a shelter.
