Guess I'm a total pig then.  I don't wash mine, I just rinse them out.  Then again, I am a family of one and drinking out of the carton is normal.

They do have flavors that do not contain aspartame or sucralose, check online.

I'm not a fan of their Diet Coke substitute.  I think it tastes like Pepsi which is awful IMO.  But hey, maybe you'll like it.

It's great for Mojitos.  I mean REALLY great.  just sayin...

yequalsy: Sodastream got lots less convenient now that you can't switch out the empties via mail.

'Cause it's so hard to stop by any Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, Kohls, Macy's, Staples, Sam's Club, Costco, Hy-Vee, or any other place that does exchanges ;)

meanmutton: If I could get actual Pepsi flavoring (I'm looking at you, mr. Diet Mt. Dew) for my Sodastream... I'd be SO happy.

You can, in a way.  You aren't limited to using just their flavors.  Get yourself some of the actual syrup and use it instead.  There are.. ways....

Geotpf: As an avid soda drinker (I don't drink coffee at all or alcohol more than a couple times a year, but have a Coke (or Pepsi or Dr. Pepper) at least daily), how good are these things?  Do they taste good, it is easy to use and clean, etc.?  I see people talking about how to do it even cheaper, but how about the actual product in question?

I have possibly the cheapest model, and it's easy enough to use and clean.  The bottles aren't machine washable, but not hard to clean.  The taste - none of it is exact.  Also, most of their syrups are made without HFCS, using mostly sugar instead (and just a little Splenda for some damn fool reason).  So, a few of my thoughts:

Dr Pete: Tastes better than the Dr Pepper/Mr Pibb it is imitating.  A lot like how Mexican/Kosher Coke tastes versus modern HFCS Coke, or throwback Pepsi/Dew vs modern.

Cola: To me, this tastes like a throwback RC Cola.  Closer to real sugar Coke than Pepsi, though.

Cream Soda: Somewhere between A&W Cream Soda and Barq's Red Creme, again with the real sugar/no HFCS taste.  This is good stuff, if you like cream soda.

Fountain Mist:  This is the Mountain Dew knock-off.  At least they got the color right.  It tastes OK, I suppose.

Cherry Cola: I don't know why, but this is too icky sweet.  Next time I'll just get the Cola and add grenadine.

Lemon/Lime: I think it's closer to 7-Up than Sprite.  Decent, but not great.  My Wife likes it though.

You aren't limited to their flavors, though.  I still plan to buy some of the Torani syrups (less concentrated so you have to use more, but oh well) so I can mix up a batch of BACON flavored soda.
