That trailer was pretty bad. Not a good sign.

Conceptually interesting, but the acting and the action scenes are what you might expect if you had a budget of zero.

It's B-Movie cheesy goodness, gotta take it for what it's worth.

...and when he said he wrote for Star Trek, the best he could do was "I wrote for Voyager."

...only 6 episodes.

Pass.

Not a big fan of Tim Russ. Not a major selling point for me. Robert Picardo, though. I'm there.

I really like him. I liked Tuvok. I liked Tim Russ as the principal on whatever Disney series he was on. There's something off about his acting, though. I guess he's a little stiff, and not in a good way even though he was a Vulcan. But give him a less than serious role and I think he should be good.

Now, Picardo, put him in anything. He's been a guest on some shows that I've seen. Always fantastic.

Coming soon to the History Channel?

/didn't RTFA, but considering the direction cable "science" and "history" television has been going it wouldn't be terribly shocking

I liked this show better when it was called Quantum Leap

Just watched the trailer and the Warrior from the future needs to cut down his caloric intake or make one less trip to McDonald's.

This. The reason I am not interested in this show and the other show by the Tribbles Star Trek Writer is because both didn't convince me that they could make anything remotely entertaining. Not to mention, like what's her face's Kickstarter, the lady who played the Teenage Witch... Eh.. How do you convince me that you're able to make a quality film/tv show when you can't even make a good kickstarter video?

Also, it is possible to make a good no-budget anything. Don't believe me, watch Sockbaby. If you haven't already. Sockbaby is awesome.

He was on iCarly, made a fairly amusing principal in the "be odd with a straight face" mode. One of the few shows my daughter watches that doesn't annoy me. He may be a robot though.

"Elogium," "Rise," "Concerning Flight," "The Omega Directive," "Infinite Regress," and "Gravity." He also wrote "Doctor Bashir, I Presume?" on DS9.

OK, I read it as Tim Roth but actually it is probably still worth checking out.

Just buy the rights to Planetary already, and skip this.  You'll have my attention then.

What a  Steampunk, time travel, stone-cold killer of his whole race from the future, and a World War ace / crime fighter look like.

That would be FAR too cool. No one will ever do anything that cool.

Your file said you were a cold bastard, I didn't think it meant literally.

But yes, someone get Planetary on the screen.  I'd prefer the a series on the big screen but I'll take a well laid out, decently paced TV series with a BSG-eseque budget when it needed it.

Out of interest who'd you get to play Snow?

Cooler still then do some of the later Authority stuff and then go back in and do Hellblazer properly as all three take place in the same universe (give or take).

Steampunk? I guess they'll have to time travel back to 2005 when that was still a thing.

This show has it all

Except decent acting, believable special effects, and a trailer worth watching. But other than that...

Voyager:
- Gravity (1999) (story)
- Infinite Regress (1998) (story)
- The Omega Directive (1998) (story)
- Concerning Flight (1997) (story)
- Rise (1997) (story)

I guess he did one DS9 episode too:
- Doctor Bashir, I Presume? (1997) (story)

The only one I vaguely remember out of the ones listed is The Omega Directive, only because it was a decent 7 of 9 episode and Janeway went barking mad because of Starfleet's apocalypse directive.

My preference would be to get the BBC to take it up.  Four seasons of six extra-long episodes each, to match the pacing of the original issues.  The effects budget would kill them in some episodes, though.  They'd have to go CGI heavy with eps like Monster Island, Ayers Rock or any of the space-based stories.  Others like the Hong Kong episode or the Jules Verne story would be a lot easier on the budget.  Not to mention the fact that they'd have to change the big bads.  Disney/Marvel can afford better lawyers.

I don't know about casting Snow--he'd be a tough one.  An older actor with the capability of playing a younger self in the flashbacks, but able to project that sense of having lived through it all.  Tell you what though, the actor who played Rory on Doctor Who might make a good Drummer.

/Strange world.  Let's keep it that way.

To be honest, it sounds like a little kid's build-your-lunch.

'I want pizza and cake and ice cream and peanut butter and jelly and X and Y and Z all at the same time!'

Too many competing flavors ruin everything, and you end up with a disgusting pile of crap.
