Why is everyone so upset? Shouldn't the government refuse to fund things that don't exist? I think something like this should be in every bill. I, for one, sincerely hope that congress codifies into law that the Unicorn Preservation League shall never see a penny of our tax dollars!

2013-06-05 12:54:53 AM

Corvus: So why is it wrongly partisan for the IRS to look into right wing groups  to see if they are following the law but it's ok for Republicans in congress to defund groups like ACORN on a completely political basis?

BECAUSE!!!!!

I knew you were on my favorites list for a reason.

Isitoveryet: Pocket Ninja: You just have to know how to look.

I really really hope the GOP doesn't get their hands on you, they'd be invincible.

Luckily for us, PN fluctuates on a ratio of precisely 1.673 teraclintons, rendering him invisible to anyone with a Derp Quotient of 0.97 or greater.

(After all, he is a ninja.)

Huff Post needs to define successors.  California ACORN reformed under a new name, with all the same people in the same roles with a new name and declared they are not ACORN.  The head oft the old/new ACORN said they couldn't comment on the old ACORN because it didn't exist and "LA LA LA LA LA I can't hear you."
See http://www.calorganize.org/
And http://oag.ca.gov/system/files/attachments/press_releases/n1888_acorn _ report.pdf

Good luck with the obvious lying.

Are you farking simple? You do know Acorn was found never to have done anything wrong, folded voluntarily, and there is no reason its former members should not carry on the work they believe in?

timujin: But is there anyone left out there who hears "We're defunding ACORN!" and says, "About damn time!"?

Note: defunding ACORN and all of its successors.

According to sources I've heard, ACORN just turned into the New Black Panther Party, and they were the group responsible for stealing the election for Obama.

Stomping out scary groups of uppity Negros is what's important regardless of whether they are mostly nonexistent. Get with the program. We are pandering for votes from teatards here.

That is what they want you to believe.

That is why these brave individuals in the GOP have to keep anybody that has ever been associated in any way shape or form from ever working anywhere again.

And this is noway like the imaginary IRS persecution of conservative groups that the GOP is claiming.

If it's really all the GOP has left until their pulse runs out, I say indulge them.

Don't you understand?  Groups like that no matter the name actually empower poor people, makes them harder to exploit, and gives them a political voice(some for the first time).  That is an extremely alarming situation for "job creators" and other wealthy/privileged people who feel their position in life entitles them to a greater voice in how the nation is run than "poor people"; because the "poor people" strawman is "lazy", wants everything for free from the government, and are leeches on society.  While complaining about a government "big brother", they want to be the "corporate big brother" in their employees lives (look at the controversy over employers wanting to deny employees contraception coverage based on the employer's religious beliefs, with the employee having no say despite it being the employee's body and health being addressed).  Again, groups like ACORN prevent that.

Republicans aren't "anti-big government", they are just "anti-big government helping the working class and poor".  If it is a rich person or company that donate$ a lot, well that is different.  "Big government" is OK then because it is maintaining the status quo and the fiscally based "caste system" which they want to create out of American society.

I know a few good republicans. Most of them admit they are ashamed of what their party has become.

This country is doomed if they got it their way.... Bring back logic. Shut those d-bag spokes people that became thier voice. Be american first and (insert your party here) second or lower in the list of things you are.

Cheater71: shiat like this make me feel like i should try my hand at becoming a politician. I mean, it doesn't seem like it requires a lot of work. But then i think, i would never be elected.

I believe we should legalize prostitution and help them unionize. Sisterhood of the ladys of the night we'd call it.

I would legalize pot to the same extent as alcohol.

I would cut the defense budget by 60 percent.

Finally i would push for a government takeover of the private sector and put caps on executive compensation.

So no i don't think i would get elected.

I'd vote for you. We're on the same page on all of that stuff. I believe that a lot of people honestly believe those things nowadays, but someone like that will NEVER get elected.

Gotta maintain the status quo, you see. And the money men are still bankrolling against all those progressive ideas, sadly.

Bonanza Jellybean: TFerWannaBe: Pocket Ninja: Here's something I noticed the other day. Numerologically speaking (and of course I am speaking of a 6-point numerological scale, some people use 2 or 3 or even 4 point scales but trust me they don't know what they're doing), Acorn has a value of 306. That really doesn't mean much of anything, I'm afraid, but if you add up the value-weighted digits in 306 (3+6), you get 9. Multiply 9 by 306, what do you get?

. . .

Your best work ever.

My favorite part was

"2754.

OK, that's interesting by itself, but take a..."

Yes, well 2754 is the unicode for "WHITE QUESTION MARK ORNAMENT", and also the defense department code for the application for JROTC instructors entitlements, which can only lead you to one obvious conclusion...

It's sad that even Saint Reagan would be drummed out of the party as a RINO these days. I used to respect Republicans... even when I didn't agree with them. Today's group is an embarrassment to our country.

ocd002: Lurking Fear: What the fark is wrong with these imbeciles? Why do conservatives think that stupidity and willful ignorance are some kind of badges of honor? Conservitards...

You know, picking on republicans these days is like picking on the slow kid in class. It's easy to do, but it's mean to make fun of the mentally slow.

Except the slow kid doesn't control millions of other voting slow kids. I say attack them on all fronts until they disperse. But that would require democrats with spines...
