One hundred one students and eight chaperones = 109

2013-06-04 01:50:13 PM
I think this is the sequel to that movie.

"Jews on a Plane"

2013-06-04 01:52:22 PM
"Wielgus said she would understand if individual students who were not complying had been asked to leave, but she objected to the collective punishment. "

That sounds great, so lets call up the parents and hold the entire flight up for a few hours for them to get there or have 7 people to control 100 students.  Sorry you should have told your students to stop messing around and sit and listen.

2013-06-04 01:54:12 PM
Ok now I feel even less pity.

"They treated us like we were terrorists; I've never seen anything like it. I'm not someone to make these kinds of statements," Zehavi said. "I think if it was a group of non-religious kids, the air stewardess wouldn't have dared to kick them off."

"Why is this flight different from all other flights?"

2013-06-04 01:57:52 PM
Student Jonathan Zehavi said he felt they were targeted because they are an identifiably Jewish group.

According to Wielgus, some students may have had to be told twice to sit down or turn off their phones, but everyone listened.

"We were more behaved than kids should be," he said.

God I hate teenagers. I can't imagine being stuck on a plane with 108 of them. Someone would definitely be getting kicked off that flight, and better them than me.

2013-06-04 02:06:42 PM
And it's a lovely message for the school to blame the airline, instead of their own rotten students that can't behave like adults for a few damn minutes. If you can't behave on an airplane, you don't belong on one. You don't get a second chance to shut up and sit down and turn off your phone. You do it or get the hell off.

Heh...I was on a flight a few weeks ago when this douchebag in front of me wouldn't get off his ipad before take off. She asked him nicely a few times before she him the best "I'm going to sound very nice while proceeding to shred you a new asshole over it." talk down I've heard in awhile.

Beat me to it.  There should never be 108 of ANYTHING on a plane.

Good.

FTA: Another student in the group, Michael Mamiye, said he was one of the first to be kicked off the plane. He said a flight attendant did not give him a chance to turn off his cell phone before asking him to "get off the plane."

It's not the attendants job to threaten you. I'm thinking maybe the first 8 times they asked you to turn it off, and when the captain came back and asked you all, was enough.

With that many kids, it should be referred to as shoveling snow.

Ha ha!  You just learned the real world doesn't think you are a precious snowflake.

Good, sounds like the little shiats didn't deserve that trip anyway. I just hope the stewardesses don't get into trouble.

You see the stewardess and captain asked the group to turn off their cell phones. However no one asked Michael specifically to shut his off. How was Michael to know that the rules applied to him if he wasn't told?!!?

"We were more behaved than kids should be," he said.

The experiment has failed.
We must bring corporal punishment back to schools.

Only once in all my flights have I ever seen the pilot leave the cockpit to tell an asspipe "turn the phone off or you're gone" so I can only imagine the shrieking tube of misery this plane must have been to inspire such a forced exodus.

No kidding. Here's a kid explaining away bad behavior because they are kids. If you're mature enough to rationalize your actions this way, you're mature enough to know what's expected of you in society.

I think all these children need a serious beating. Getting kicked off a plane should be the best thing that happens to them this week.

That's a lot of kosher meals.

But these are special kids from a special school. Their family, school, and community with back them no matter how bad their behavior. Privileged perpetual victims beget Privileged perpetual victims.

They were just upset about having seats in the rear of plane, that's just not kosher

On a flight recently, I saw the stewardess tell a kid three farking times to shut off his hone for landing.  Each time, he nodded, then continued to ignore her.

Really, it's not hard to be without your phone for 20 minutes.

Oh, yeah, and before the internet electrical engineer brigade gets on here to tell me that "it's no big deal"  well, I suppose, but lets just say something did happen, would you want to be the assfark who just killed 100 people cause you didn't want to listen?

I don't think that kid quite understands how we treat terrorists. It wouldn't involve repeated warnings.

Also, fark the lot of them for hiding behind religion.

It's no problem on a brand new aircraft where all the wiring is perfect and properly insulated.

Mythbusters even proved though, that all it takes is the right wire to be touching a bit of aluminum bulkhead to make radio signals cause instruments to glitch out.

It's one of those things that's completely unpredictable.

*reading article, thinking how cool it is they aren't playing the anti-semetic card*

FTA: Student Jonathan Zehavi said he felt they were targeted because they are an identifiably Jewish group.

Dammit.

This reminds me of a kid that started college where I work, he walks around telling everyone he's one of God's chosen people and nobody has the right to tell him what to do.  I'm not exaggerating, not even other Jewish people like him.

2013-06-04 03:05:59 PM
I was in the airport recently for an overnight flight, and I saw a group of cheerleaders and their moms walk into the gate area. That was an incredibly terrifying few minutes, but they were headed for a different plane.

+10 points for that air crew.

I doubt if they will sue, it's not like 109 Jewish people are related to any lawyers or anything.

technically the anti-religion card. TFA added the Jewish aspect as an identifier it seems but yeah, that was the point where I lost all sympathy
