At first I thought it sounded as nasty as the other monstrosities I see places putting out there but I think this one has potential.

When I was a kid my friend's mom would suck out the filling of Hot Pockets and stuff them with fried macaroni and cheese and then re-stuff the original filling. She called them "Mom Pockets".

We never go out for pizza anymore.  Since my son was old enough to help it's always more fun to do it at home.  Since he's not very patient, we usually make quick pizza dough out of 1:1 plain greek yogurt and self rising flour.  Surprisingly good and doesn't have a strange taste.  2 cups of each will fill a half sheet pan.  It bakes up in about 15 minutes at 375-400.  I prefer to parbake it some before adding toppings, but since that's dangerous to little hands I usually park it on the bottom of the oven and keep the convection off so it cooks the bottom more without scorching the toppings.

Pan frying is even worse. Something deep fried at the proper temperature for the proper time will absorb hardly any oil. Something pan fried otoh... all that steam pressure is going up and not keeping any oil out.

I'm just waiting for the day that we stop beating around the bush and have restaurants with advertising like this:

"Sick of your life and subconsciously hate yourself? Or want a quicker way out of a relationship? Kids won't give you a chance to live your life?
Come to our restaurant!!
The deep fried food comes with extra clotting agents guaranteed to cause death within 4 hours or your next meal is on us!!"

Also, I can imagine the conversation at the fast-food board meeting:
- Gentlemen, we are going to have to make our food more healthy.
- What?! Why?! Who cares about poor uneducated folks?!
- Hah! No, it's not that. We did our calculations and it turns out that at this rate the younger generation eating our food will die out before they get a chance to have kids to replace them as our customers.
- The hell you say!....That IS serious...

I love pizza and I love pasta, but I'm not sure combing the two into one dish is going to be any better than either alone.  What DOES intrigue me about this dish is the ricotta cheese.  I really, really like ricotta cheese with pasta but I don't think I've ever had it on a pizza before.  I'd really like to try a pizza with ricotta sometimes.

It is. I've had it where it originated, in St. Louis's Italian neighborhood, the Hill. It's not easy to find outside St. Louis, although I've seen it in a few places in Chicago.

This might be good IF you make sure the ravioli doesn't dry out, there's plenty of tomato sauce, and the crust is thin. Maybe.

Toasted ravioli is all over the USA now.  I was skeptical at first, but I gave it a try and it was really good.

Perv? I never suggested that she used any perverted method to suck out the filling! Besides, what she did behind closed doors with a turkey baster and her "mom pocket" is her business, not mine.

My local pizza shop makes a "lasagna" pie on certain days of the week: random applications of ground beef, sauce, ricotta, basil, and mozz. So, so tasty. Occasionally they'll do it Sicilian for extra evil.
