Who will Scott Foster whistle on the block-charge call? How many technicals will Ken Mauer dole out? Will Joey Crawford fly to the game on his own dime, then come out of the stands to make terrible calls? It's the NBA something something.

If Miami loses this game, I'm going to see if I can get some hack writer to run with my "Lebron is so good that it makes his teammates worse" theory.

Isn't that what Wade is saying with his, "I want more touches on the ball" but LeBron is too busy playing defense, scoring, rebounding, and such to give it to me.

I generally have little to no interest in the NBA, but knowing that Floyd Mayweather has $5.9 million on the Heat to cover the spread (-7), I'm really hoping that Indiana pulls it out.

Don't you think it would be funnier if the Heat won by six? Especially if the Pacers hit a meaningless basket at the buzzer to cover.

If Gandhi, Jesus, and Buddha were here, they'd all revel in the schadenfreude from a Heat loss.

I didn't need much more reason to root against the Heat, but now I'm fully on board. A Heat loss also means Mayweather loses millions? Shiat, now I want to be courtside, rooting my lungs out.

That basically makes it a lock, Mayweather is great on huge sports bets. I think Vegas loves for him to show off a win so everyone else thinks they can do it too.

Also, LBJ is the best player on the course (as evidenced by his great 40 time in game 6) and in the end, he'll get the job done. I do hope my Wade theory holds up (he drops 25-7 and proclaims himself to be the hero again). My heart would love the lulz of Indy, but I got a feeling Vogel just has to deal with the game 1 mistake all summer.

Go Pacers!

I don't think they'll win, but it would be nice to see. Doesn't much matter though, the Spurs are going to win the title.

I don't know why the NBA is making a big deal out of the Hibbert quote.
He was obviously referring to the phrase beatus homo qui invenit sapientiam or "blessed is the man who finds wisdom".
When he said his defense on LeBron was "no homo", he clearly meant James was not blessed, as he had not found the wisdom that he shouldn't challenge Hibbert in the paint.
Oversensitive media as usual.

I think Mayweather was doing the country a favor in that regard - after Hibbert opened his mouth to let loose that homophobic crap, the happy story got less happy.  Now that Money Mayweather made it public knowledge that he stands to lose millions of bucks, America's back on board.

I'm betting the refs show up tonight for a strong Miami win.

2013-06-03 07:43:24 PM
Pacers all the way. I don't care that Hibbert said something dumb. He got fined, he seemed contrite, that's the end of the story. I want to see the Heat get held to less than 70 points.

anyone else annoyed by wade wanting more touches when he as been the most out of touch player on the heat the whole series?  Not counting bosh just because he accepts he is not doing well

well, i guess a game 7 should be worth watching....i watched a christmas game and saw a few peeks here and there of a early playoff round and i also saw some of saturday's game, but by and large i've nto paid much attention.

uhh.....Go Pacers, i guess, just because.

The only thing Wade should be touching is his ass to the bench more. Of course, the Heat don't have anyone else to take his place so that won't be happening.

Anyway, since the NBA is fixed according to some idiots, the Heat are obviously winning tonight. No way we get an Indiana/San Antonio Finals that will be watched by tens of people outside those two markets.

So put your money where your big mouths are and bet big on the Heat tonight. You'll be much happier cashing that winning ticket than posting pics on Fark.

Okay, Pacers.  If you can somehow make them have to ship all those Heat Eastern Conference Champions shirts to Namibia, that'd be great.

Leaving for the bar now to watch it, so I just wanted to get my prediction in.  I will be rooting for the Pacers, but I respect LeBron for being the best player in the world and it would surprise me if he didn't will this team to victory at home.  Now Paul George, prove me wrong.

Is "no homo" really hateful? Or is it just shorthand for saying, "...but I'm not personally gay."

Can't there be an implied, "NTTAWWT" with "no homo"?

Gay version of that's what she said.

A Pacers win seems unlikely to me. I can only assume that refs will see to it if Miami is struggling to do it themselves.

Yes it is, seeing as how the only thing implied with that comment is that being gay is something gross/wrong/to be mocked.

Prediction: Wade gets 20 tonight, mostly on easy baskets and free throws. Pacers will only be able to overcome that if they get a productive offensive night from Lance Stephenson.

Pacers have out-rebounded the Heat by 10 boards per game. Only one team in NBA history has been able to win a playoff series overcoming that kind of deficit.

I predict that if that happens, the media will spend all their time trying to bait Lance Stephenson into saying something really stupid, and eventually succeeding.

I disagree. He said something like, "Lebron was stretching me out so much- no homo." It was basically like a "that's what she said" joke- recontextualizing a pretty standard comment into innuendo for a laugh. Maybe I'm being naive, but I don't see the spite towards gay people in that.

I've been a Miami Heat fan since 2010.

I've waited for this moment.

Go Yankees.
