He's right. I love the series, but c'mon, this infatuation with it has gotten to ridiculous levels. Everyday I encounter someone who thinks it's super clever and original to explain something in GoT terms. Every. Single. Day.

You don't have to be edgy to read (and not enjoy) the books.

FTA:  "When the followers fall and the social winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives."

So this Ned Stark guy, is he a

a) Gibbering idiot?
b) Pointy-haired boss?
c) Court jester in a Post-Dilbert apocalyptic society?
d) All of the above.

That sentence literallly sounds like it was written by an inane gibberish-writing algorithm.

Then again, it could just be a Game of Thrones Mad-Lib(TM).

Anybody up for a Game of Game of Thrones(TM) Mad-Libs(TM)?

Brought to you by Uncle Jack's Bathroom Books: The Game of Game of Thrones Mad-Lib Game for the Throne.

A Post-Dilbert Apocalyptic Society (PDAS) is what happens when engineers lose their knack for technology by drinking from the Mug of Management, as seen in the Dilbert TV show episode, "The Knack".

Well, not really. That's called a "promotion". It happens to any engineer who can read and write basic English, which is why all the smart engineers are taking English courses at the local college. If you aren't doing this, then you are simply not one of the smart ones. Sorry.

When engineers really lose their knack for technology, they sometimes design a product that is intuitive for non-engineers, thus destroying an entre industry. They are usually lynched by their fellow-engineers and managers before they can destroy society.

The last time an engineer destroyed an entire society he invented something even a child could use. It was the light switch. That was the end of the European hereditary aristocracy. 80% of the Sabbat-Goys starved to death because their employers were Conservatve or Liberal Jews, and without them, Europe was unable to steal ideas and money from the Jews when they needed the lamps in their home offices lit on the Sabbath. The result was modern education, liberalism, and Scottish bankers. The Fall of the West became inevitable, and to help it along, a young Karl Marx wrote a paper arguing that Jews can not be free in a Christian State.

He had a point you know. That's why the Founding Fathers wrote the Second Amendment. Nobody can be free under an Establishment of Religion.

I've never read or watched the Game of Thrones. If I want to watch a smart-alec dwarf, I'll download that Ricky Gervais Britcom with that Warwick guy.

Warwick is a good old-timey English name. It was at Warwick Castle (Warwickshire) that Mark Twain's narrator in The Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court connects with the apocalyptic destruction of King Arthur's Camelot by good old Yankee know-how in the form of a bullet hole in a suit of Early Medieval plate armour. Which is an anacronism, of course. Plate armour is Late Medieval.
