It's a makeup call for no call on the Savard hit.

Why don't you get down off the cross, build yourself a bridge and get the fark over something that happened three years ago -- since which time, Cooke has drastically changed his game and isn't the same player he was before.

I fully agree with you, he's changed his game dramatically. He's nowhere near as dirty as he used to be. He's reduced the amount of penalty time he sees, he's become an actual player now. That doesn't change the fact that Savvy isn't playing any more.

That also doesn't change the fact that make up calls are ALWAYS bullshiat -- let alone ones to "make up" a call from three years ago. The refs should call penalties when there are penalties, and not just to "make things fair" later. If they miss one, they miss one -- it's over and gone, you should forget about it and move on.

I'll agree with you on the "Cooke isn't the same player..." part, but let me inflict a career-ending injury on one of your favorite players in a play that in no universe can be considered anything but a deliberate intent to injure and see what warm fuzzies you have for me.

If you really think that was a makeup call, you should turn the game off. As a Bruins fan, I hate Cooke and think he should be called for every infraction he commits. Regardless of team allegiance, he boarded Mcquaid. Probably not a major, or misconduct, but definitely a 2 minute board.

If Lucic scrambled Cindys brain and ended his career without a penalty being called, you wouldn't be bullshiat about it every time the teams played? I doubt it.

I don't think I'd call it a makeup, but if that's, say, Tyler Kennedy committing that exact penalty, no way it's more than a minor.

To beat a dead horse some more, I'm sure the refs are fully aware of the Cooke and Bruins history. I'm sure all the players on the Bruins and Pens are aware of the history there.

Cooke stays in the game, the game gets out of hand very quickly because the refs didn't take control of an explosive situation when they had the chance. Cooke being ejected is as much about prevention as it is discipline.

Because everything on the Internet is serious, and should be taken as such.

Because a fan of a team is always correct in his assessment of a professional referees judgement in calling a penalty.

Because it's the Cup.
