Don't hate subby. There are a dozen highly-profitable cable channels dedicated to producing shows that show people living life wrong.

How is that wrong?

thecpt: How is that wrong?

We live in a country with low cost birth control widely available.  Ideally, one should find a life partner with whom one wants to spend (at least) the next 20+ years with prior to deciding to have a baby.

Sounds like subby needs to stop paying attention to pop culture and pay a little more attention to the meds those orderlies are slipping into the food at the home.

She got engaged before she got knocked up (twice), it was just the wedding ceremony that was postponed.

So long as subby's morality can be highlighted as the 'right way', everyone wins. One size fits all!

Usually the reason married BEFORE the child is born is so that :

a) the child isn't born a bastard
b) give the impression that the marriage is not done out of guilt from having a child with the person

Marriages due to pregnancy/guilt seldom end well.

imfallen_angel: [three point plan]

a) Snow is a nice last name
b) What really matters in marriage is what other people think about you
c) Explaining the 50% divorce rate over the last... well, forever?

Wow. Knowing nothing of the situation, commitments, and assumptions of what they as a couple value.

What a farking stupid way to judge people.

According to a random google search she's worth $100 million.  I don't think she's to worried about what Fark thinks is right or wrong

Waitaminnit.....I seem to recall hearing somewhere that for the longest time they were promoting her as the very foundation of morality.  No, she'll never appear in a bathing suit, or she'll never do this, or never do that.

Heh.  Morality goes down the toilet when there's money to be made.

Subby seems bitter that women won't even look at him.

/she can live life in any order she wants
//it affects you none

Never said it was.  Only that her family promoted her that way...which didn't take long to fall to the wayside in lieu of getting paid.  And now she's having children out of wedlock.

I find it amusing, not immoral.

And why are you so worked up over it?

Thanks Fark.  Nothing to see here.

I've said it before and I'll say it again....Jessica Simpson is way smarter than we give her credit for.  The ditzy blond thing is an act.  She got her name out there with a mediocre pop music career (and by marrying that Nick Lachey douche and subsequently divorcing him), then parlayed her name recognition into the fashion industry.

That girl could be a drug addicted former teen star right now, but instead she has a nice family and a successful career.  It's quite impressive, if you ask me, and I say that without the tiniest hint of snark.

I'll also throw this out there: I didn't think her mom jeans back in '07ish were all that bad.

/white knighting is fun!

The real question is she going back to doing Weight Watchers or just staying a whale?
