Red Bull pays for the hotshot stuff.  Most skydivers/base jumpers are middle class white men -- engineers, IT, and military are the three most common professions, although I've met truck drivers, farmers, doctors, nurses, and scientists in my time in the sport.  Boring office drones are not well represented -- I can't think of a single middle manager or C-level.

Not that it really matters but he actually jumped from the mountain right next to Everest,  Changtse .

A little over a minute?  I expected him to land in Katmandu after an hour or two.
