When people go into the stalls at concerts to do coke, it's nice to know that they can hold the line.

They really are good toilets.

Steve Lukather, one of the most underappreciated guitar players there is.

I guess they are like a 2 hit wonder of a band because Hold the Line and Africa are the only 2 songs I have a clue of. I don't even know what album(s) those are on.

This. He also produced Spinal Tap's Break Like the Wind. Cool points.

Not underappreciated by other musicians, though, which really is the best kind of appreciation, IMO. The guy's a monster guitarist who has played with everybody. Here he is, (as well as the rest of Toto with hilarious makeup) with Paul McCartney.

I actually like Toto, in small doses.

Steve is one of those guys who is phenomenally talented but you would never know it because of the band he is identified with and their reputation.  It reminds me of guys like Reb Beach who had chops for days but hung his hat on hair-metal and just has never been able to shake the stink off of him for it.

Learn from Steve Vai's lesson, guys.....get the gig, collect your check and go home at the end of the tour.

Members of Toto were also involved in the production of Thriller.  Lukather plays all the guitar parts on "Beat It" that aren't Eddie Van Halen's solo.

Toto is also a sports gambling thing. When TOTO (toilets) and toto (gambling) get together, you get soccer playing toilets:

I have a Toto toilet. Toto are to toilets as Kirby or Oreck are to vacuum cleaners. They're awesome!

I like 'em, too. There are hidden gems on their albums that one never hears on the radio.

Toto did the music for Dune. I used to geek out on a C64 (maybe a c128) music synth player of the Desert theme.

The player also shade the M.U.L.E. theme.

The French worship that guy.  Personally, I think it's good for him that he's had a snazzy career but his style is so painfully white bread & boring ... I guess that's what pays.  Again and again and again.

I have two of them.  The fill valves busted on both after just three years.  Meh.   I paid twice as much for a supposedly maintenance free toilet and didn't get my monies' worth.  Not that it is hard or expensive to change a fill valve, it is that I am just dissapoint.

Bought a Mexican Standard for my third bathroom.
