Well, bombing and occupying them didn't kill them. Maybe we should drop some bath salts there, too?

Also, dumbass tag? Was the sad tag sucking dick for meth money in the Walmart parking lot?

Nonsense.  Intoxicants are forbidden in Islam.

Gotta have something to counter-act the opium

Yeah, that works about as well in Islam as it does in Christianity and Buddhism.

We should drop bath salts there. Most of them are empathogens. It would lighten the area of the world up real quick so long as no MDPV was included. Just mephedrone, methylone, or butylone.

Here's a shocker for you: Iran is not America. Inconceivable, right?

Yup, this new to the region drug is suddenly coming from those well known Iranian meth labs. Nothing to see here people.

Afghanistan has been a pit for a long time, partially our fault of course, but the same can be said for the Russians, British, and many other countries over the last couple hundred years. But the Afghan people hold a huge amount of the blame for their situation as well. The simple fact is that the only people who can bring Afghanistan out of the dark ages are the Afghans, and thus far they seem quite content to let themselves be led by a corrupt government, ruthless regional warlords, and extremist religious nutjobs.

If you haven't watched the Vice documentary about Afghanistan, do yourself a favor and check it out. That place is a dysfunctional mess, and from the government on down it seems very few people really want to make a difference.

Not sure how to feel about this. Drug problems are bad. That said, if meth took over in Afghanistan, it has the potential to give opium a good run for its money, and create issues for the Taliban drug cartel... until the middle eastern Gus Fring comes into the picture and provides the Taliban with product to sell under the cover of his falafel restaurant.

How do you say "Here. Try this and you will see the face of Allah and be blessed forever" in Pashtun?

2013-05-30 08:30:12 AM
So if you combined it with opium the effects should level out, right?

Paranoid tweaking terrorists...just what the world needs.

A mountainess region where a lot of them are missing their teeth already, but we need to find a way to get a steady supply of Mt Dew over there.

I don't understand. Why don't they just ban it?

2013-05-30 08:47:43 AM
I guess I no longer have an excuse to ask them why they can't trip like I do.

If the Taliban begin using meth, it will finally bring them, intellectually and morally, down to the level of the Teabaggers.

Except Teabaggers are probably always going to be fatter than members of the Taliban, so in that sense, at least, foreign terrorists are superior to domestic terrorists.

It's much more likely that the Afgans we train and support are the ones going to be tweaked out of their skulls.

And selling to our military personnel. So there will be even more paranoid tweaking dudes with machine guns to worry about.

I want to say that country is f*cked if meth takes off, but that's redundant.

Unlike the US, meth is pretty popular in various East Asian countries because everyone from office to factory workers can work and/or party for longer hours.  It's sort of connected with their respective economies growth (although obviously its a negative connection).

What exactly is the allure for Afghanis?  They can herd goats for longer hours?  Plant more opium?  Rock the local Kasbah?
